Slytherin Common Room

[Griffin Black]

Griffin smiled. "Thanks. If I make it I'll be looking for you in the stands." He chuckled and stretched his arms and legs out on the couch.

[Neko Wormwood]

"Hm..." Neko played with her locket again. "What to do... what to do..."

[Griffin Black]

"Um" Griffin said, staring at a bored Neko. He had never been great at starting conversations. "How have you liked Hogwarts so far?" he said, trying his hardest to make it sound like it could be a enthralling conversation as he ruffled his hair again.

[Neko Wormwood]

((ooc: I just realized I have no idea what year I am. =/ I would say first year, but that would defeat the purpose of talking about Quidditch since first years aren't alowed to play.))

"Hm... I'm not sure what to think about it really. Although, I have to say, it's better than that muggle school I had to go to until I got my Hogwarts letter." Neko chuckled. "What about you?"

[Griffin Black]

(yeah me too. I guess I'd say second year, you know so the quidditch thing works and Hogwarts is still kind of new)

Griffn nodded. "I like it. Being surrounded by magic and wizards is the best." He yawned and added, "Plus, like you said, we're not surrounded by muggles. No need to hide anything."

[Neko Wormwood]

Neko chuckled. "I remember when I was little all the muggle kids thought I was weird. I didn't like to talk to them. I never wanted to go to muggle school, but my uncle wasn't really one to homeschool me or anything so I had no choice. One day this kid asked me why I was so weird and they all laughed at me when I said I was a witch. Makes me wish I could use magic outside of school so I could show them."

[Griffin Black]

Griffin laughed a little. "I'm sure you would have shown them. Muggles can be quite annoying at times, always poking their noses where they shouldn't be and totally oblivious of us." he laughed and dug his hands into his pockets, looking for something.

[Neko Wormwood]

"Hm..." Neko seemed to be staring off into space. "You know... if Sirius Black really is your father, you have quite an interesting family history." She thought outloud, not sure why she had just thought about it.

[Griffin Black]

Griffin pulled his hand out, holding a small gold object. He looked back over at Neko. "Oh yes. I've read about the Black family history. All Slytherins. Except..." he sighed deeply, "Sirius Black. Of course. My mother isn't exactly happy about me being in Slytherin. I think she wanted me in Gryffindor, like her and my alleged father. Either way, I'm in Slytherin, and couldn't be happier. I know I'm in the right place." He suddenly caught himself. "Oh I'm sorry. Got a little off topic there." He rubbed the back of his neck trying to laugh off his mistake.

[Neko Wormwood]

"My family has been Slytherins for as far back as anyone can remember. I'm pretty happy with it." Neko said. She then noticed the small gold object her friend had just pulled from his pocked. "Hm? What's that?"

[Griffin Black]

Griffin looked at Neko, then the object in his hand, then back to Neko. "It's a cat. Well, a small golden cat I mean." He turned the object over in his hands. "Family heirloom. Heh, want to see it? I mean, it kind of fits you."
He extended his hand a little, holding out the object to her.

[Neko Wormwood]

Neko looked at the small figure and laughed. "You're right, it does fit me. I'm surprised I didn't end up with one."

[Griffin Black]

Griffin laughed and put the object back in his pocket. "I know. I've never figured out why it's a cat though. I've asked my mother but she's never given me a straight answer."

[Neko Wormwood]

"You know, it would have made alot more sense if it was a dog considering your supposed father..." Neko thought outloud.

[Griffin Black]

Griffin nodded in agreement. "That's why the cat confuses me. It leads me to believe it's an heirloom from my mothers side. Although, I stll don't see why it's cat."
Griffin took a deep breath and sighed.
"I'm sorry, I'm ranting. Anyways..."
