Slytherin Common Room

Come one, come all, but only if you're a pureblooded Slytherin.
Welcome to the Slytherin Common Room, this is where you'll spend most of your free time between classes.
Come and introduce yourself to fellow Slytherins, mingle and chat, plot and finish potion essays, begin an army of minions to take over the Wizarding World.
Just don't lose us any house points.

The Slytherin common room: a long, low-ceiling, dungeon-like room filled with skulls and the like. There are high-backed chairs and a carved mantelpiece on the fireplace, the walls a rough stone. Though the light from fireplace usually gives the room a wondrously bright yet soft glow, the light away is a cold green from the hanging lamps for it's located under the lake. Spots where candles (various placed around the room) mix in with the green light.
One could certainly describe the Slytherin common room as classy. The sofas are a delicate and empowering black leather, armchairs and any other sitting furniture alike. Along the walls there are bookshelves, drawers, and decorations upon the available spaces alongside books donated by students for the use of the present and left over the summer for future students to come. Apples on platters replenished nightly lay upon stands next to the couches, green vines crawl wrapped around one another in lazy yet symmetrical strands to decorate the space between the occupied walls and ceiling though the wall itself was a bas-relief sculpture of arches and natural stone crevices. Other tables, furniture, as well as a few tables decorated the commons for the use of the students, some chatting and gossiping while others making use of their time to write essays and study.
And finally, the stairs from the commons led up to the dormitories and split into two more staircases for each gender, the only other set of stairs leading from the common to the outside world. This was Slytherin common room.

[Neko Wormwood]

Neko sat upside down on a couch in the Slytherin Common room, her feet over the top of the couch and her head hanging off the seat. She sighed as she watched the other students.
"How dreadfully boring..."

[Griffin Black]

Griffin walked into the common room and looked around
"How did some of these gits get into Slytherin in the first place?'

[Neko Wormwood]

Neko looked up to see that someone new had just walked into the common room. It was someone she didn't recognize. "You there!" She called out. "Who are you and who are you calling a git?"

[Griffin Black]

Griffin pointed at himself. "Me?"
He walked over to the girl sitting on the couch and extended a hand. "I am Griffin Black. You would be?"

[Neko Wormwood]

Neko sat up properly on the couch and shook his extended hand. "Neko Wormwood." She introduced herself, trying not to laugh at the name 'Griffin'.

[Griffin Black]

Griffin glared a little at Neko's face, confused at what could be so amusing.
"What's so funny?"

[Neko Wormwood]

Neko chuckled a little. "Oh nothing. Just thinking that with a name like 'Griffin' you sound like you would be more suited for Griffindor rather than Slytherin. But of course, I shouldn't judge you by your name."

[Griffin Black]

Griffin sighed deeply
"Yes, that seems to be what everyone says when they hear my name."
Griffin sat down in a chair next to Neko.
"Well how about you? Neko Wormwood. Interesting name."

[Neko Wormwood]

"When my mother was alive she owned a petshop in Diagon Alley. She was especially fond of cats so my brother and I were named after cats. Neko is the Japanese word for cat." She sat and watched the fire. "What's your excuse?"

[Griffin Black]

"Hm I thought I had heard that word before. Well my mother was in Gryffindor so I figured that's why she named me 'Griffin'."
Griffin sat there for a moment thinking.
"And I suppose you're wondering about my last name?"

[Neko Wormwood]

"A bit." Neko replied bluntly. "I wasn't going to ask though because I certainly do not have any explaination for my last name."

[Griffin Black]

"Ah. Well my mother..." Griffin paused, trying to find the right words, "claims that my father is none other than the infamous Sirius Black. However, if he really is my father, I don't know. My mother insists that he is though and changed her last name to Black. She's quite an embarrassment at times."

[Neko Wormwood]

"Well, at least you have a mother. My father killed my mother." She said. "My brother too. I've been living with my uncle since I was five."
She thought for a second. "So, Sirius black then? Certainly doesn't seem like a father figure one would want in their life."

[Griffin Black]

Griffin was taken aback from Neko's story. He sat there for a moment, silent.
"Well I've never met him. Although even if I did know him and he was in fact my father, well no, I suppose he wouldn't be an ideal father figure."
