Griffin smiled and nodded. "Yeah. I mean if you want, of course."

"Mmkay, let's go." Neko said happily, linking arms with him and leaving the common room.

Draco stepped into the commons to find it empty. With a shrug, he left the room and headed to the Great Hall for breakfast, or perhaps lunch, if he had awoken late in the day again.

Pansy let Draco lead her into the common room. "I really had a wonderful time, Draco." She smiled. "I think I might go visit Pomfrey, get another potion." She reached up and ran her hand through his blonde hair leaning in to whisper, "Perhaps you should get the rest of this confetti out of your hair." Her lips grazed his cheek. "Thank you again." With that she turned and left the common room.

Draco stared off into space, thankful the commons were empty, as he touched the spot where Pansy's lips had grazed. His heart clenched slightly, at such a foreign emotion coursing through him, but all the same he smiled and regained his composure. Perhaps he should rid his hair of the confetti. Draco left for the boys' dorms.

Pansy reentered the common room. She should have gone to see Professor Snape, that woman tried to keep her over night because of some nonsense about how it should still be hurting. After she wrangled another pain potion away from her she ran away almost literally. She sat down near the fire and curled up. Broken bones aside, she had had a fantastic day.

Draco returned and yelled out as he ran out of the common room, "Book Club meeting! Hurry up if you don't want it closed due to disinterest!" He had his copy of Quidditch Through The Ages in hand.

Pansy returned to the common room. Settling on the sofa at the far end and conjuring a blanket.

Draco walked into the common room, his book still in hand. He walked over to Pansy and sat down next to her, "How's the wrist? And how strong was that pain potion if it knocked you out? Are you really fine, Pans?"

Pansy rolled her eyes. "I'm fine. She gave me something stronger this time and mumbled something about how it shouldn't be hurting. I promise I'm absolutely fine." She shifted to face him. "So what did the Headmaster need to speak with you about?"

Draco sighed softly, easing into the couch, "Alright, I was just.. worried. I don't meant to be slightly overbearing, Pans. You're one of my only friends here, not to sound like a lion." At her question, Draco pulled out a badge from his pocket and showed it to Pansy, "And he wanted to offer me the position of Slytherin Prefect. I accepted."

"Draco! That's fantastic! Think of all the things you can get away with now. And of course he did. Who else would it be?" She smiled brightly at him. "A-And I-I didn't mean for you to think I'm ungrateful for you looking after me, I am. It's just - well you know how it is here sometimes. No weakness, yeah?" She rested her head against the back of the couch watching him.

Lydia entered the common room with a nod to each occupant before moving to a chair near the fire. She pulled out what appeared to be needlepoint and began to work with green threads.

Draco smirked and preened under Pansy's congratulations on his new position, "Thank you. And aside from escaping persecution, I will have jurisdiction of the room if disagreements break out again." Draco considered Pansy and nodded, "Yes, I know. No weakness. Which is why there is absolutely nothing wrong with you but a headache." Draco sat up and smiled, "Right Pans?"
At the entrance of Lydia, Draco returned her nod, "Good work at the discussion, Evans."

Pansy nodded. "Right." Pansy relaxed against the sofa. "I'm not ready for classes to start just yet. It was so much nicer when I told tell the tutor to leave me alone." She thought back to her days before Hogwarts of private lessons and etiquette class.
