Lydia looked up and nodded. "Thank you. And yourself." She caught sight of the prefect's badge and smiled. "Congratulations on your appointment." She took a moment from her work to tie her hair back in a bun before going back to work.

Griffin and Neko walked into the common room and sat down near each other. Griffin looked at Draco. "Hey, sorry about missing the book club. How'd it go with out us?"

Neko's eyes widened. "We missed it?!" She hung her head in her hands. "I took really good notes too..." She actually looked like she was about ready to cry.

Lydia jumped. "It was only a short conversation. Perhaps you can send an owl to the headmaster with your notes. He'd said that it was possible."

Pansy looked over to Neko who did look quite upset. "Don't worry about it, Neko. There was only three of us there, all Slytherin, of course. You didn't miss much."

Griffin rubbed Neko's shoulders sympathetically. "I'm sorry we went out to Madam Puddifoot's a little late. That's probably why we missed it." He felt really bad and kissed the top of her head. "Don't worry, I'm sure the Headmaster will accept your notes if you send him an owl."

Neko took out her handkercheif and dabbed her eyes. "I really didn't miss much? That's good." She looked up at the rest of the people in the room. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't be crying over something like this."

Pansy, still looking at Neko and Griffin. "You both looked like you were enjoying yourselves at Madam Puddifoot's. Have a good Valentines?" she asked watching Griffin rub her shoulders.

Draco, who had silently lost himself in thought, began to register everything he had heard while he was gone in his mind, "We won our house points, that is all that matters. And the Headmaster did say he'd accept owls if you could not make it, though I think he had some provisions set along with those guidelines." Draco nodded Lydia a thanks a bit late as he turned to Pansy, "I don't think I am quite ready myself, for classes to begin but it is inevitable I suppose.." He drifted off in thought once again.

Pansy smiled. "That's nice! It was a bit...explosive in there wasn't it? And yes, I did. Have I shown you the lovely earrings Draco got me?" She moved her dark hair back revealing the silver serpents dangling from them. "He got me the most beautiful roses as well." She smiled at Draco.

Neko let out a little gasp when she saw the earrings. "Those are so nice! Wow Draco, you're such a romantic." She teased.
