Gavin nodded, "Yeah, same here. She is sending samples to give to Amber, who is head of the committee," he said. "If you want me to, I can ask if she could send more. I'm sure she could send extras."

Gavin groaned, "don't remind me. No! I haven't!" his voice started to raise, not because of Effy, but his frustration, "the headmaster said he'd look over grades, but I have received no word yet! The head master knows I want to be prefect, too. If I'm denied, just tell me," he said.

Gavin shook his head, "nope. I asked, he said he would look at grades. Which is somewhat ridiculous, because prefect shouldn't be based solely on grades."
