Delilah's eyes widened.
" Vous parlez français? Je n'ai encore rencontré personne ici qui puisse comprendre la moitié de ce que j'ai à dire! "
She began chatting wildly away in French.
She even forgot to change back to English when she greeted Amira.
She started to slow her talking until she came to a complete stop.
Her face turning red and she realized she was getting some weird
looks from everyone in the common room.

"Oui, je parle un petit peu! Si vous avez besoin de l'aide avec votre anglais, demandez-simplement moi! Et vous pouvez corriger mon français quand je fais une erreur." Effy laughed at the Ravenclaws in the room who were surprised by their sudden outburst of french.

Her face reddened again.
" Mais c'est tellement merveilleux de trouver quelqu'un qui comprend ma langue maternelle. J'ai l'impression que je peux peut-être plus moi-même ici maintenant. "

"Votre anglais est très bon, probablement meilleur que mon Français est. Mon accent est terrible!" Effy told Delilah, though she was sure that Delilah was aware how terrible her French accent was.

She stood up and pulled her book to her chest.
" If yoo will excuze me, I need to go up to zee dorm. "
Delilah pushed the puddle of robes away from her feet before she
glided gracefully to the staircase of the Girl's Dorm.

Amira walked into the common room with a book she had brought from home and sat down on a huge, squishy couch near the fire place. She noticed Efft was there too,"Hey", Amira said before starting to read her book.

Amira was totally engrossed in her book when suddenly she heard maniacal laughter from outside. "Weird", she said,wondering if she should go check it out..

Effy heard a noise outside and looked up, "What was that?" She sat up in her chair to try and hear better. The noise came again.

It was pretty lame that everyone had to go back to the common room. Nobody seemed to talk a lot in the Ravenclaw common room. Everyone was either reading, studying, or doing work... just as a good Ravenclaw would. Gavin sat in front of the warm fire, yawning before starting his muggle studies paper. "Damn that meeting..." he muttered. He lost his inspiration and spark for that paper. He'd probably be up all night thinking of something.

Effy sat at a table below the window. She tried to do her homework but continued to catch herself looking out the window, searching the sky for a dementor.
