Rose smiled. She didn't know why the Slytherins had such a bad repuation. Some were so nice. Just like some Ravenclaws and Gryffindors were mean.
"Thanks," Rose said. "Yeah, we've talked a few times."
Rose wondered if she should say that those conversations included the imfamous Draco Malfoy. Neko hadn't mentioned it, so she was sure the Draco didn't want it spread around that he was talking to a Hufflepuff.
"But don't worry," Rose said. "If Pansy or someone other Slytherin comes in, I'll just say I was over here for homework or something."

Griffin gave Neko a confused look. "Oh really? I for one am not sure what to expect. It seems interesting but I heard Trelawney is bit odd."
He looked at Rose. "Oh, don't worry. I doubt they'll be down here soon."

"That's good," said Rose. "And I guess I'm looking forward to Divination. But that Trelawney...well, she's a piecie of work, isn't she?" Rose giggled. "Same with Pansy."

Griffin laughed lightly and stood up. "Well I'm going to go start work. Nice to meet you Rose. I'll talk to you two later. And Neko, if Draco or Pansy come down here and give you trouble, come find me." He walked briskly out of the Great Hall.

Rose turned to Neko once Griffin was out of ear shot. "Wow, he's so nice. You're lucky to have him!"

Draco entered the Great Hall with Pansy on his arm. Cool eyes searching the tables, he spotted.. someone who didn't quite belong at their own. "A Hufflepuff seems to have lost their way.." he muttered to Pansy.

Pansy's eyes narrowed at the site of the two girls at their table. She turned her head to Draco. "Well let's help her find it, shall we?" she smirked with an evil glint in her eyes.

Neko turned around to see Draco enter the hall. "You should probably go." She told Rose. "I don't want him to get upset."

Walking with Draco over to the the table Pansy saw the hurried conversation between the two. She rushed over to cut off any escape. "What do we have here?" she asked, looking the Hufflepuff over. "And what makes you think a Slytherin would help you with anything?" She turned to glare at Neko.
