"Eh, I've done the potion a hundred times every year," Gavin said, over exaggerating, "and I've done the assignment plenty of times so I'm sure it turned out well. I just didn't go into detail," he said.

"Hmm," David said," I found the potion quite easy, so I also didn't go into too much detail. I can't imagine someone messing up that potion."

"Well, as a heads up, be sure to not write directly what Professor Snape wrote. And be sure to write what happens. I wrote word for word, because you know, those are the steps, and I didn't go into detail what happened and I got an acceptable," Gavin shrugged. It was a first assignment. Not a good way to start the year, and although an easy potion, he had other classes to worry about... like muggle studies... which the professor wasn't doing to well in and had to make up an assignment on the spot, which was rather depressing.

Amira walked into the Great Hall, tired from the classes and sat alone. She poured herself a glass and ate a little. She noticed the two boys from yesterday were talking, seems like they're getting along better. She waved to them and went back to her drink.

"Yeah, I made sure that I didn't repeat him word for word. I'm sure I did fine, though." David didn't like how Gavin was speaking to him, like he was better than David and knew more.l

Effy saw Amira sit down at the other end of the table. She gathered her things and walked over to her, sitting down across from her. "Hey," Effy said, smiling, "Alright?"

As Griffin made his way to the Slytherin table he saw that there were quite a few Ravenclaws already in the Great Hall. He noticed that two of them were the girls grom last night. He smiled a bit and continued making his way. They'll never know, he thought to himself as he sat down at the Slytherin table.

"Yeah just tired. We stayed up too late yesterday haha. But really who do you think that was?! Being petrified sucked." Amira said, a bit angry she had been petrified by some strange guy. Now that she thought about it where did that cat go?

"Did you sign up for Divination?" Gavin asked David as he put his books aside and pet Zolo once more.

"By the way Effy, have you done the Potions assignment yet? Oh and also do you want to go invite more people to the study group?"

"Way too late," Effy agreed, "It was so scary. I don't know. Do you think it could have been Sirius Black? He said he wasn't a student, right? But I doubt that anything he said was remotely close to the truth, but sitll...."

"Yeah, I did. I'm rather annoyed that both her and the Muggle Studies professor haven't been doing well with their lessons. And McGonagall's lesson was a joke."

"It could just be a cover. Honestly how could Sirius Black get into Hogwarts? We have all these security measures AND the headmaster."

"The woman is crazy... Trelawney, that is. I want to stay far away from that class as possible, "Gavin said with a laugh. "It is disappointing that Professor Burbage had personal issues. I was looking forward to the first lesson... but I completed the new assignment anyways. It was fairly easy. I'm looking forward to that class."

Cho walked in briskly, books in hand. She caught a glimpse of Gavin and waved as she made her way towards him. "Good morning," she said with a small smile, and grabbed for a piece of toast.
