Lydia smiled to Theo, kissing his cheek before laughing softly at her father's disapproving look. "Sorry Daddy." She smiled.
"You're lucky I'm a nice guy most of the time." Mr. Evans ruffled his daughter's hair before sighing. He looked to Theo once more. "Providing you keep your promises I shouldn't have to be anything but." He nodded. "And Lydia your mother wants to meet him." He gave Lydia a look that suggested a hint of exasperation which Lydia shared back.

"Thank you, Sir. Does that mean I have your permission should your daughter accept?" He smiled at both their reactions. "It would be a pleasure to meet Mrs. Evans."

"It does." He nodded and looked to Lydia agin. "My wife is...a bit pushy." He explained. "I imagine if you take the train home you'll meet her at the station at the end of term."
Lydia smiled brightly. "She'll have flowers picked out already." She laughed. "Mum's been waiting for me to show some interest in a guy for....ever."

Theo grinned. "Well you know how much I love flowers, Ms. Evans.." He let go of Lydia's hand to extend it to Mr. Evans as the other was still in the sling. " I see no reason why I wouldn't be riding the train to the station. Thank you again, Sir. It was a pleasure finally meeting you."

He nodded, shaking Theo's hand. "It was good to meet you as well." He let go of Theo's hand to wrap Lydia in a hug. "Take care of my little girl. I would hope to see you this summer."
Lydia smiled as she heard her father formally invite Theo. It was a good sign.

"I will and it would be my honor." He nodded and sent Lydia a wink.

Lydia smiled brightly as her father nodded. "I've got to go speak with the headmaster now. Have a good evening Lydia, Young Mr. Nott." He patted him on the shoulder before walking off.
Lydia let out a sigh of relief. "Wow. That went way better than I expected. Considering."

Theo raised an eyebrow. "You doubted me? Considering what?"

"I didn't doubt you. Considering when he walked up though I didn't see that going well. Anyway, I think that he might have decided be a little easier on me than normal due to the situation."

He nodded. "It could have been worse. I could have had you in a more compromising position which would have been the case if I had more than one free arm."

She laughed softly. "Too bad you've got to wait till you get better. Whatever will I do till then?" She smiled.

"Who said anything about waiting. I would have had my arms wrapped around you, to keep you warm of course." He smirked. "Doesn't mean we have to not do anything."

She smiled and shrugged. "Maybe I just wanted to be mean." She teased with a grin.

Theo pouted. "I don't know why. I just impressed your father after he gave me the third and fourth degrees."

She smiled. "Because I'm horribly mean." She winked before thinking. "What time is it anyway? It's likely getting close to curfew." She pointed out.
