Griffin nodded as he stood up. "Yeah I suppose that could work, if I see her again before she leaves me," he said with a grunt. He walked over to the tree and held both hands up. "Come on and I'll put you back on level ground," he said laughing a little.

"Well, being willing to give anything a try for love isn't bad, right?" Blake smiled softly and kept playing with the ends of his hair. He stopped and looked directly at Griffin who was now below, nibbling at his own lower lip nervously, "Promise you won't drop me?"

Griffin nodded. "I promise not to drop you," he said laughing, knowing that it probably didn't reassure Blake but couldn't help it.

Blake shut his eyes, took a deep breath while praying to Merlin, and shimmied off of the tree limb. He let himself fall off and hoped Griffin kept his promise or he'd be spending the night with Madam Pomfrey.

Griffin grabbed Blake and lowered him to the ground slowly, almost dropping him at one point but quickly recovering and placed Blake on the floor safely. "I told you didn't I?" he said chuckling.

Blake opened his eyes and tucked his hair back behind his ears, a hand over his chest as he released the breath he was holding. He looked to Griffin and laughed shakily, "You did, thank you. I might have been stuck up there all night."

Griffin rolled his eyes and laughed. "It's okay if you thought I was going to drop you, just tell me."

Blake huffed and turned to walk along the edge again, "I was more scared of myself than I was of you, Griff. How are you now? Your aura feels less agitated."

Griffin laughed and shook his head. "Right," he muttered, starting to follow Blake. "I'm alright I suppose. And yourself?"

Blake peeked into the forest and mocked an owl's hoot for the fun of it, turning to glance at Griffin and then hooting again. "Myself? Fine now that I'm not stuck in a tree. Hey, Griffin, what's on your mind right now? Don't think about it, just-- right now, what are you thinking about?"

"Music," he said nonchalantly, not thinking. "Dancing, the old kind you know. Constantly running through my head. You now," Griffin said, "you tell me."

"Poetry," Blake replied without trying. It was all he could think about when he wasn't trying to think. "I just read a lot of it and it's always up in my head, that or potions."

Griffin nodded. "Seems like a suitable thing for you to be thinking," he said looking into the forest.

Blake stepped a little ways into the forest and questioned Griffin with his eyes, "Why is it suitable?"

Griffin stopped walking and shrugged. "It just seems like you're always wrapped up in either reading or potions so I'm not surprised."
