Sirius stood at the edge of the forest, a man again. He looked around and sighed heavily, leaning against a tree. "How I miss it." He looked longingly at the school.

Sirius shivered. The Dementors must be close. He sunk into the forest briefly before shifting into the form of a dog again and heading for the Whomping Willow. It would be warm back at the Shrieking Shack, especially if he started a fire in the fireplace.

"Sirius! I know you're here somewhere! I just want to talk, alright?" Lupin continued to call out. "It's me. I'm your friend." Lupin sincerely didn't want to hurt Sirius. He just wanted to know what was going on.

The small cat made it's way to the Forbidden Forest but stopped. It let a low meow and looked around while it slowly paced in a large circle, looking for another clue as to where to go. Lupin's scent was much more faint but the cat could still pick it out a little.

Blake walked along the edge of the Dark Forest, desperately wanting to venture in but he fought his yearning with mental fists and chains. The last time he gave in, the results were less than satisfactory, and he quite enjoyed just taking a walk at the cusp of the forbidden area. The sounds that echoed from within were intriguing and had to do to satisfy and placate him for now.

Hagrid lumbered out from his hut, fang at his heels, walking the perimeter of the forest. Usually, he went further in to check how the being who lived inside were fairing, but he was more than a little cautious of the dementors. So he stayed within school grounds, making sure nothing was amiss.

The edge of the Forbidden Forest is surprisingly pleasant at this time of day, Professor Snape thought. It was certainly a change from the cozy darkness of the dungeons, which he was tempted to come out of due to the absolutely brilliant day.
But even in the middle of the afternoon, the forest beneath the thick canopy of trees was dark and cool. He sought that darkness and stepped carefully through the underbrush. A noise up ahead caused him to pause and listen. His lip curled -- nothing could hurt him in that forest, anyways. He trudged ahead deeper into the forest.

Blake shivered and looked up at the stars lighting the sky, a more awake smile on his face. He could pull this off. Walking along the edge of the forest, he touched he trees he could and hummed to himself. The night was still.

Blake took the time to stop at a tree and feel its bark, cool from the night's cold kiss. He wondered how many other people touched this exact tree. Who touched it last year, the year before that, ten years ago. "I wonder what you've seen."

Sitting under the inviting shade of the forest's barrier, Blake set down his books, placing every sheet of parchment he brought but one in between the pages of one at the bottom of the stack. He opened the top book and placed it in his lap and flipping to the page he wanted, he dipped his quill and began to take notes.

Blake hummed to himself as he swayed from side to side to his own little song. It was days like these that put him in the best of moods. The weather wasn't bitter, he was doing something he loved and had something brewing, and there was no tension in the air. The only thing that would make it complete was company, animal or person. Sometimes he wished Kaninchen could stay with him.

Blake got through two of the tomes he brought, leaving him with a few more to go through. Gathering all of his pages, his texts, and his materials, he stood and dusted himself off while smoothing any wrinkles in his clothes. Back to work. He walked off to the castle.

Blake had come out to the edge of the forest with a book to read, wanting to get away from the castle to enjoy the weather.

Blake had fallen asleep on his side and was now awake though he made no move to get up. He hugged his book to his chest and mewled a yawn, staring at a blade of grass near his face without interest and yet, interested in the texture, the life inside the plant, the veins that fed it.

Blake finally stood and went back to the dorms, still holding his book in his hands.
