She tilted her head. "Well not really why you chose me." She hugged him. "I mean, why did you even bother talking to me?" She smiled. "It's been such a short time and there were other girls aiming for your attentions I'll have you know."

He let out a breath trying not to laugh. "There were not." He leaned down and kissed her. "You started talking to me and... I- it just fit and it helped that I think you're beautiful."

"I happen to know of one girl who was quite fond of you but she gave up when she realized you were interested in me." She smiled. "I won't tell who though." She hugged him. "So my overly friendly manner caught your attention." She teased lightly.

"You're easy to talk to and you don't judge me." He sighed. "A lot of people judge me because of my father." He smiled. "I know of whom you speak. You don't need to tell me."

She nodded and kisses his cheek. "What your father did and does doesn't matter to me. You aren't him. Once he's gone he'll have no control over your life." She smiled, resting her head against his collarbone lightly.

He sighed. "Yes he will. There are things that can't be undone." A gust of wind suddenly hit them and he wrapped his cloak around her. "Let's go somewhere else. It's getting cold."

She nodded and kissed his cheek, sticking close to him. She had suddenly realized how dark it had gotten and cast a nervous look around the grounds. It seemed colder and less welcoming than normal. "Somewhere with a fire preferrably." She smiled.

He nodded and wrapped his arm around her waist leading her back to the common room.

Ron sat down by the tree. It was sunny and he was enjoying the sun shining through. Bit of fresh air always helps,he thought to himself. He decided to sit here for a while. After all,it's sunday.

Blake walked out with Emery and shook a little at the feeling of the chilly air but eased into it after a moment. The weather, though fairly cool at night, was still nice and it retained its spring-like quality-- especially in the scents of the reborn and the fresh grass that caressed the ground's surface. "It's always wonderful out here.."

Emery put an arm around Blake, pulling him close but still walking. "Sure is, little snakey," he agreed, "So what've you been up to while I was gone?"

Nyssa walked on to the grounds. She sat down under a tree and got out her mandolin. She waved at Blake and Emery before starting to play.

Blake tensed momentarily and slowly leaned into Emery as they walked, all of these gestures foreign to him at first but he found himself adapting to them without much trouble, "Reading." He then came to the realization he had left The Perks of Being a Wallflower in the Room of Requirement but he didn't bother to panic. Blake trusted Hogwarts would keep it in the room for him, she seemed the kind of person to do that. "How was your sister's wedding?" Blake waved to Nyssa with a smile, happy to see one of his friends while he was out and about.

Emery gave a friendly wave and smile over to Nyssa, then looked down to Blake. "Reading what, eh?" he asked. He scratched the back of his head, recollecting the week of his sister's wedding, "It was pretty crazy. First, my sister's husband didn't show up til an hour later because his transportation was mucked up. Then there was a stain on her dress because of I don't even know what and, my sister being the perfectionist she is, freaked out with her tide-to-go stick trying to get it out..."
Emery retold the events of mishaps and fortunes that happened with immense detail. "I got plenty wasted the night of the reception though, don't remember much of what I did other than screaming like an idiot along with the rest of the drunken bunch," he added with an embarrassed smile.
