Draco nodded absently to Griffin, "About a certain girl?" He returned to playing with Pansy's hand, "Yes, I will be Lord Malfoy one day.. quite a daunting task but I think I can manage it with the Malfoy grace all males achieve. As for classes, I'm confident enough to predict straight O's. I won't let the mudblood, Granger, out do me. I will never let her out do me."

Griffin chuckled. "Ah yes well that is definitely one thing on my mind." He looked at Draco. "Malfoy, if you need any help handling that Granger girl, and I don't mean through academics, I may be able to help. I've got some ideas that could help you throw her off." he said with a grin.

Draco glanced up to Griffin, a smirk blooming on his face, "I have no worry of her ever succeeding past my standards, but.. out of sheer curiosity.. I'd like to hear such ideas Black. But not in front of the lovely lady present. Perhaps later? Unless she'd like to hear as well."

Draco shifted in his seat and he stared at Griffin with an unwavering gaze, "Oh do tell.." His fingers never stopped making patterns on the back of Pansy's hand. He looked to Pansy, "Only a tad love. You're welcome to comfort yourself if you are."

Griffin grinned wider. "Well we all know about how that blood-traitor Weasley is in love with Granger. Well apparently that new bloak is also interested in her." He looked back at the fireplace. "I think that this could put all three of them in very... messy positions if we play things to our advantage."

Pansy rolled her eyes. It was always bloody freezing in the dungeons and Draco seemed to be ice cold naturally. She grabbed her wand and cast spell to enlarge the blanket and covered them both before turning her attention to Griffin.

Draco's smirk never ceased, "And how do you suggest we go about this, Black?"
Draco murmured a thanks to Pansy, leaning over to kiss her cheek lightly in a small showing of appreciation for her thoughtfulness. His hands continued to play with hers.

Griffin looked over at them. "Well that Weasley boy seems to be the one that leaves the common room most often, seeing as he has an almost insatiable appetite. Which is perfect for us because if we put the idea in his head that Granger is seeing someone else, I believe he will snap. Now I can only imagine the effects this will have on that Mudblood but I doubt it will help her concentrate on her studies."

Griffin shook his head. "I doubt it. Would you assist a Gryffindor? I believe that we merely have to push Weasley into believing that Granger has interest in this new fellow. He'll snap," he said smirking.
