Pansy shot up from the couch. "Draco, are you alright?" she asked walking over. She put her hand on his cheek to hold him still and healed the cut with a wave of her wand.

Draco gingerly touched his own cheek. The blood leaking from the cut was gone now, as well as the source, "Yes, I'm alright. But as soon as the wind hit the owlery, the owls startled, and the one I was tying the letter to took it upon itself to use me as a means of taking out its aggravation." He ran a hand through his messed locks and grimaced, "Bloody birds.." He looked at Pansy, "Thank you, Pans."

She smiled. "You're welcome," she said, running a finger over his healed skin. 'All better now."

Lydia nodded sympathetically. "They can be unpredictable." She set down the knitting for a moment. "You didn't run into Filch did you? Since it's after curfew now it'd be a pain to get caught."

Draco caught Pansy's hand as it trailed over his cheek. He brought the back of it to his lips and he kissed it gently. Holding the hand still, he looked to Lydia, "I did run into Filch, but he caught sight of my Prefect badge. All he did was give me nod and kept walking the corridors as I left."

Pansy squeezed Draco's hand and tugged it. "Do you want to come sit on my couch with me?" she asked already pulling him with her. "Well at least Flilch knows his place," she added.

"Probably knows better than to tell off a Slytherin anyway. Though perhaps there's a bit of give even though he doesn't seem the type to recognize it." She said meaning to letting students get to their houses. She had returned to her knitting, making a great deal of progress already.

Draco did nothing to fight Pansy and willingly followed her to the couch, settling next to her. He held her hand softly, running the fingers of his free hand in patterns on the back of hers. "Anyhow, Filch won't give me trouble- may it be the fact that I am a Prefect or a Slytherin. I'm a Malfoy above it all and he knows very well my Father can take away his pathetic excuse of a career."

Lydia nodded. "Yes your family does have fantastic influence. He probably values his job more than getting one student in trouble." She stretched her back and yawned. "Hmm tomorrow's classes..."

Pansy thought she was getting much better and being in contact with Draco. She could breathe and her face wasn't flashing different shades of red. "Is your father still on the Board of Governors?"she asked settling back and closing her eyes.

Draco sighed, "Classes indeed.. " He continued playing with Pansy's hand, "Yes, he is. I don't think he'll be leaving that job anytime soon. Personally, I wouldn't leave it either."

"Indeed." She yawned again. "Well, I imagine I must be off to bed." She stretched once more and packed up her things. "Have a good night you two." She left to room with a smile.

Draco bid Lydia a good night as she left. He stopped momentarily in playing with Pansy's hand and looked at Griffin, "You alright there, Black?"

Pansy turned her head towards him opening her eyes. "It will be yours one day as it is. As for classes I'm not at all concerned. I know how to "see the inner eye" or at least fake it and Potions and Transfiguration come naturally. I'm not as skilled at Potions as you are, Draco."
"Good night, Evans"

Griffin looked up. He was lost in thought. "Oh, yes I'm fine. Just thinking," he said slowly, staring into the fire.
