"I agree, yes. He is not a bad fellow, either. He did take some initiative in facing us alone, which I commend," Draco said with a tilt of his head. He turned to look at Pansy, "Yes, I did. I don't find any merit in the class. Nothing has convinced me to take it."

Pansy nodded. "I'd rather that than Muggle Studies," she said with a shiver. "I could care less about anything having to do with Muggles."

Draco smirked, "I'd rather take muggle studies than deal with the inept Divination professor, as much as I hate anything without pure blood running through it." Draco turned at the entrance of a new student, "And you are..?" He had made sure to memorize everyone, how did he miss this girl?

"Pansy Parkinson," she said eyeing the girl. "It's a pleasure."

Draco gave the girl a slight nod, "A Pleasure, Ms. Summers. America you say? Quite a bit away from home, are you not?"

"My hair is fine, thank you. I knew the spell as well, but Draco took care of it for me" Pansy answered. "Your godmother - the blood-traitor? You live with a blood-traitor?" Pansy asked looking between her and Draco.

Draco looked away, "Andromeda was disowned from the Black family, so she is no relative of mine. An outcast is what she is, and a disgrace to the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black. Turning away from your family is the worst thing one could do when family is all there really is."

Draco turned to Rica, "There's hope for you yet, Ms. Summers. It is our job as pureblooded people to continue our traditions strongly and keep our families alive along with the values instilled within us. Perhaps you can change that for your own family."

Pansy nodded in agreement with Draco. "Have you decided which classes you will be taking, Rica?"

Draco nodded in approval of Rica's proclamation and answered her questions, "Professor Snape is exceptional but Hagrid is an absolute oaf. I don't know how he managed to become the teacher for the class."

"Snape also despises Gryffindors, which is rather amusing, especially when it comes to Potter."

Pansy laughed. "I wouldn't exactly call him a 'person'. He's rather large and...hairy."

"Bloody hell if I know how he got his name, really. I might take the class anyway, for the creatures and not the teacher," Draco said, unwittingly putting a hand on Pansy's.

Pansy looked down to see Draco touching her, lips twitching upwards. "I will probably take it as well."
