Kiba scratched his nose and meandered over to a cushioned chair. He sat down and let out a small sigh. Kiba looked down at his gray pants and white t-shirt before rubbing his eyes. Today had seemed to drag on and now he couldn't sleep.

Pansy didn't look up from her book but in a smooth, low voice spoke to the boy that just took a seat, "You could say hello to me, you know."

Kiba's head snapped up and he looked to where the voice had originated from. "Huh?" Kiba was still a bit groggy having just come from a late afternoon nap. He blinked and realized Pansy was sitting nearby. "Oh, Pansy... Hello there Miss Pansy," Kiba said with a smile after a moment.

Finally looking up from her book Pansy smiled. "Are you're okay? You seem a little out of sorts," she told him, looking him over to make sure. "You know me well enough to drop the Miss Pansy I think."

"I'm fine," Kiba chuckled, glad that Pansy would be concerned about his well being. "I just woke up from nap so I'm bit dazed," he told her. Kiba waved his hands in front of his face as he said 'dazed' to emphasize it. "You don't like being Miss Pansy?" he asked.

Pansy's face wrinkled up as she shook her head. "I think it makes me seem like and old women. Is that what you see me as?" she asked with a rather amused gleam in her eyes. "It's an odd hour to be waking up from a nap. I would be up all night if that happened to me." Pansy set her book in her lap, then moved it to her side as she spoke.

"I guess when you put it that way... I'll just call you Pansy," Kiba said nodding to himself. "I fell asleep after dinner. It happens a lot and I'm usually able to sleep again when I feel its necessary," he explained. Kiba noticed Pansy's book. "What were you reading? Did I disturb you?"

"Merlin no, you didn't disturb me. It isn't anything you would be interested in I'm sure, a sort of girl book. I read one serious book and than a book for fun," Pansy explained. "I am glad you don't think me to be an old maid. You might have broken my heart if you had," she laughed, with a grin staying on her face.

Kiba nodded as he listened to Pansy. He smiled at her as she laughed. "It's been quite quiet around Hogwarts recently. Wouldn't you agree?" he asked, looking around the common room.

"Yes, I agree it has. I thought to have a party this weekend and maybe draw some people out of thier hiding places. Do you think that is a good idea?" Pansy asked. She looked around as she saw the group from earlier dispurse, presumedly to bed. Grabbing her book she moved out of her corner and into the chair opposite Kiba

Kiba tapped one finger lightly against his chin as he thought. "Yes, that might work," he stated at last. Kiba watched Pansy move into the chair adjacent to him. "I do wonder what everyone has been up to lately. I haven't seen many of the usual Slytherins around."

Pansy shrugged in reply. "I haven't the foggest, the usual trouble I would presume but I wasn't brought up to ask questions." She thought about the party for a moment before adding, "If now one come that means I can have everything to myself. A party for one."

"A party with one person isn't really a party, is it?" Kiba asked, not sure if Pansy liked the idea of having everything to herself. "You wouldn't really enjoy being alone, would you?" Kiba ran a hand through his hair and leaned back.

"If I am the only one there then I get everything my way, not that I don't when others are around. I am used to being alone, it's not so bad after you become accustomed to it," Pansy told him. "It is not preferable but sometimes happens. Don't you think?"

Kiba scratched his head and scrunched up his face. "I don't really like being alone. I prefer the company of others because everything is better with friends. At least, that's how I feel," he replied with a small grin. He wondered if Pansy would be put off by his dissenting opinion.
