Draco shut the book and embraced it once Pansy finished, "Just what I've always wanted! The answer to my prayers. Who needs love when I can just torture people." He banished the book back to Pansy and promptly laid himself down on his new couch, "How have you been Pans?"

Pansy caught the book, setting it next to her on the chair, still laughing from his antics. "A little of this, a little of that. I'm sure about the same as you," she answered vaguely. "I'm still waiting for an answer to my question I asked you days ago and I don't like waiting."

Draco turned onto his side and propped his head up to look at Pansy as he lazily lied, "Mother said some Marcus Botelli did her gown if that's what you've been waiting for so patiently. Why do you want to know?" He looked at his clean nails and then back to her curiously.

Pansy reached into her robes and took out her wand, looking it over very carefully. "That seems to odd, you see he died in a duel a few years ago and I never heard he came back as a ghost to design dresses. Or maybe... I should write your mother myself and tell her you are insinuating she would wear a gown that is so far out of date," she asked bringing her green eyes up to look at him. "I wanted to order a dress, obviously."

Draco shrugged and turned onto his back in no mood to talk about dresses and designers, "If that's what you'd like, go right on ahead and owl her though you'll only be wasting your time." He ran his hands through his hair and shielded a yawn from view, "Order a dress for..?"

Pansy stared back at him, getting frustrated. "Why would I be wasting my time?" she asked, leaning in to the chair. "A dress for something that is none of your business, nosey git." She laughed and closed her eyes.

"You'd get the same answer for the second time. That is why you'd be wasting your time, Pansy dearest." Draco's nose crinkled a little when he responded but smoothed once more when he heard her laugh, "Fine, fine, I concede. It's none of my business. Enjoy your shopping."

"Fine, I'll just find someone else to ask, I'm sure Blaise's mother will help me." Pansy got up from her seat and moved over to where he was laying. "Is something wrong?"

"Now don't you insult mother, Pans. She'd probably take anytime out of her day to visit you one weekend or two if you really need the dress that badly." Draco looked up when he heard the shuffling of robes, "I'm just fine.. why..?" He raised a brow as he asked his question slowly.

"I did not insult your mother in anyway. I only said that I could ask Blaise's mother and that she would help me," Pansy explained to him in a calm voice. "You don't seem very Draco-ish today is all." She gave him a shrug, "Only checking."

Draco looked off into the hearth of the fireplace where Feu was now rustling awake and nodded when she explained, still half-wondering what she needed the dress for. He looked back to her and sat up, "I think I'm okay. I just feel... a little off, I don't know why."

Pansy nodded, watching him carefully. "Well... let me know if you need anything," she said slowly. "I can - um - leave you to your thoughts or something." It was an odd feeling, not knowing what to say, especially when Draco was involved, she'd never had that problem before.

Feu skittered out of the fire and up the couch to sit on Draco's knee with a few clicks echoing in his throat. He looked at Pansy and puffed a small bit of smoke at her in hello as Draco ran his fingers down his scaled side, "You can return to your book if you'd like Pans, or sit, it's all up to you." Feu made another clicking sound as Draco steadily petted him.

Pansy bent down closer to look a Feu and smiled at him, her actual smile, not the normal fake one. "Can I return to my book while sitting next to you?" she asked moving her eyes back to Draco.

Feu playfully swiped at Pansy's face as Draco lifted him from his knee and placed him in his favorite place, his hair, willingly. Draco nodded once again to Pansy and patted the place next to him for her to sit at her comfort.
