Mildmay dropped into an armchair, putting his broom on the ground under his legs. "Yeah. It was a really bad idea." His gaze didn't lift to meet hers, looking at the ground by the fireplace instead. He stirred himself from his internal worried, and said in a almost happy voice, "You fly much better than I do."

"It's not over Arya, not when Slytherins are involved." Cedric sat down and laid his head back with a sigh. Knowing the snakes, they'd feel personally offended and would seek revenge somehow.

"Don't feel like this is your fault though, Midmay," Arya said, before turning her direction to Cedric, "Slytherins have nothing better to do. They just want drama," she said and stretched. She heard Midmay's compliment and blushed, "thank you," she said, brushing some of her hair behind her ears.

Cedric nodded, "Mm, agreed Arya, agreed. They seem to be a very dramatic house, I'm surprised they're not rolling in galleons from the fantastic performances they display." He looked over to Mildmay and frowned, "You were only having a good time, mate. Don't let the Slytherins get you down."

"Maybe we'll get back on them during the quidditch season! I hope the Hufflepuffs have a good season this year!" Arya exclaimed, and looked at Cedric, "right, Captain?"

He nodded and smiled slightly, trying not to think of what might happen if one of the Slytherins decided to take a grudge against him. "Yeah, we have got to knock them down a few pegs."

"We'll just train harder than ever, Arya and I'm sure we can level the field with them!" Cedric stood excitedly with a spark in his eye, "We'll just need to plan! Work on formations. You two can help me with that, right?"

"Oh of course! Mildmay and I are both planning to be beaters! We will definitely help you with fomrations, and try our best to knock the Slytherin's off their broom sticks and onto their bums!"

Mildmay nodded, and said, "I don't know how much help I can be, but - yeah, sure." Somethinf warm and silky and firm bumped and nuzzeled at the back of his head, then spilled down onto his shoulder. Messire peered at him and meowed silently before jumping down to his lap. "Hey you," he murmured to his cat.

Cedric decided to get a head start, "Good night Arya, Mildmay. Tell Rose good night from me as well. I have work to do!" He ran up to the dorms, intent on beginning.

Mildmay said goodnight to Cedric, then rubbed his face and said, "I think I'm going to turn in, too. I want to get that book report done and catch up with my potions. Good night, Arha."
He picked up his mog and broom, and went to bed.

Mildmay went through the empty common room, pausing only to glance round to see if Messire was about. Not seeing her, he left.
