"Rest well, Rose!" Arya waved to Rose and watched her leave to the girls dorm. Arya was now alone. She closed her eyes and laid on the couch, listening to the crackling of the fire place, but would not allow herself to fall asleep.

Mildmay returned, looking a lot more relaxed. He walked to the couch she was resting in and crouched so their eyes were more level. "Hey. Do you want to do some of that work now? The study group has the Room Of Requirement today so it would be an excellent place to test some of those spells Professor Lupin set."

Arya heard Mildmay and opened her eyes. "Oh yes! I went there last week, it was fun. I talked to someone from Slytherin named Blake. He's a real sweet heart, not like any other Slytherin," she said. She sat up from the couch. "Would you like to leave for the Room of Requirement now?"

Mildmay nodded. "Yeah - let me just grab my notes from lesson. I won't be two ticks. Grab what you need."
He stood and strode to the boys dorm's.

Arya nodded, "okay, I will met you there," Arya said and went to the girls dorm to grab her notes. She waited for Mildmay to return. When he was ready to leave, she left to the room of requirement.

Arya entered the common room with Mildmay. She put her notes and books on a coffee table in front of the couch she favored. "Thank you for practicing with me, Mildmay! I really appreciate it!"

Mildmay nodded. "You're welcome. I really hope Professer Lupin will take the homework. His lesson today was fascinating. I really want to know what my Patronus will be." He sat down and pulled out his notes and a fresh sheet of parchment to write up his findings. "What do you think yours will be?"

"I'm... I'm not sure," Arya started to think about it. "I do agree that the lesson was very interesting... I just... haven't put too much thought of what my patronus would be. I can't think of any animals that are significant to me, or one that resembles me... sheeps are cute, I wouldn't mind that, ," Arya said, trying to think of all the possible animals. "What about you?"

His quill scratched over the parchment, his eyes lowered and he was silent for several moments. The he tilted his head and replied, "Maybe a spider. That's what my father's was. I would really like it to be - but in all likelihood it'll be something like... oh, a squirrel. Or kangaroo." He looked at her and grinned playfully.

"Kangaroos are splendid!" Arya exclaimed, "you should definitely have a kangaroo. They pack a great punch, not that I would know though," she said. "I believe my father's was a bear... maybe an eagle, or a horse. I never spoke with him on that matter. Maybe I'll send him an owl, asking."

He laughed lightly, and said, "It's not like I can chose what'll shoot out of my wand. Ah, can you imagine what the Slytherines would say if it did come out bouncy and floppy eared..." He grimaced at the thought and went back to writing. After a few moments he said slowly, "I think your partonus will be... something charming, and graceful. A fallow deer, maybe. Or a swan. Or one of those slim Russian hounds."

"Oh just wait and see, those Slytherins will get something not tough at all, maybe a bunny, or a goldfish," Arya waved her hand, "they just act tough, that's all." She smiled at Mildmay's prediction of her patronus and what would fit her. "That would be lovely to have either of those animals. I'm sure I wont be disappointed in what I get. Nobody should be... unless you get a toad, I'd be rather disappointed."

Mildmay grinned at the parchment and flicked her a swift amused glance. "Well, now you've gone and jinxed it. You're going to work hard, do all Lupin tells you, and end up throwing a silver toad at a dementor. You'll be known as 'Toady' for the rest of your school life. You'll go into politics, run for Minister Of Magic and have the opposing party chant it at you through your speeches. When you have a man at the alter, he'll accidentally call it you as he's repeating his vows. Your first grandchild will be named it in honour of you and it shall be written on your tombstone."

Arya shook her head, "nuh-uh! I did not just jinx it! You are jinxing it for me!" Arya exclaimed, then listen to Mildmay talk. "That went into great detail, Mildmay," Arya said. "Is that your personal family story?" she asked, concerned.

"Mmmmmn," he purred softly. "Alas my husband found me cheating on him and de-aged me. Cursed me with suffering puberty twice for my wanton ways." He sounded not only serious but quite wistful and forlorn. The he slid her another glance and his face split in mirthful laughter, unable to carry through with the act.
