"I was planning to tell her, I think I am going to tell her. I just don't want to be dragged into her crying. David- you have to admit, the girl needs help," Gavin looked at David, "she is emotionally unstable."

"I agree," David said, "And maybe the removal of you from her life will help, she'll no longer, hopefully, feel conflicted between you and Jake."

"I hope so. But I think that if she removed herself from Jake it would help to. Nyssa put herself in the situation," Gavin said, "she lives with the consequences."

"I don't think Jake is that bad for her," David said, "I think the removal of both of you from her life would be detrimental."

"She needs to see help," Gavin said, "I don't think any relationship is good for her at this moment. But I can't speak for her."

"That may be true," David said.

"I would like to have an intervention for Nyssa, but I can't be apart of her life anymore," Gavin said, "she'll just be another student in the common room."

"I would encourage you to keep that idea in mind, in case she continues to be so... unhealthy. It may be what she needs, and you probably know her best out of any of us in the house."

"I would need everyone in the house to help though. It can't be just me," Gavin began. He looked off to the side and sigh, "what do you think would be best?"

"I agree," David said. "And possibly the headmaster or another Professor, too. I think a long, calm, discussion between you, Nyssa, and Jake, would be best, but I'm not sure how realistic that is. Perhaps you should speak with Jake? Or I could speak to him for you, if you think he might be hostile."

"As ideal as that sounds, I don't think a person who punched me would talk to me," Gavin said. "Maybe ignore Jake altogether. I don't want him putting thoughts into her mind about how evil I am. Maybe talking to the Headmaster would work."

"Jake can't be ignored, though," David said, "He is her boyfriend, right?"

"I can ignore him," Gavin said, "I only talk to him when he's breaking rules. If I see him- like last week, I saw him at The Three Broomsticks, I left right away. I try not to make conflict out of it."

"But if you ever want to help Nyssa," David said, "You're going to have to involve Jake. He's an important part of her life."

Gavin paused. David had a point. "I know, David. And you are right. But-" Gavin was at a lost for words, "I'm sure there is a way to not involve Jake. I have to talk to Nyssa first, but I might ignore her first. To think things through."
