Nyssa finished writing her note to her father and sat their reading it over and over again making sure it was fine.

She shrugged,"Wouldn't want to bother him", she said simply.

"Yes, I am missing my journal," she answered Amira. "We bumped into each other last night, they must have gotten switched." She sighed in relief, "I'll send him an owl right away, thank you so much, Amira. I owe you my life."

She smiled,"Don't mention it, I'm glad you two were able to figure out where your journals were", she turned to Gavin,"Well, I suppose it's a bit too late. He's probably busy anyway", she replied.

"So am I," Charlotte said, "Trust me. I'm going to go send him an owl, I'll be back in a bit." With that, charlotte stood and left the common room, heading for the owlry.

"I disagree. It's never too late to say happy father's day and you can always leave the letter at the front door," Gavin said, "but you don't have to listen to me."

Nyssa sighed and put the card in its envelope not sealing it quite yet. She left the card on the table as she headed back up to the dorm.

"Later", she said to Charlotte and Nyssa. She turned back to Gavin,"Anyways, how have you been?", she asked Gavin, changing the subject.

"I've been okay," Gavin said to Amira, "Hogsmeade was real awkward yesterday and after Hogsmeade I didn't do much. How about you?"

"Why was Hogsmeade awkward? I was in a bit of a daze that day. I've been lovely, a bit bored though with most of my friends never around."

Nyssa came back down from the dorm and picked up the card taking it out of the envelope and reading it a few more times.
