Amira walked back in from the owlery and sat down on the couch. She saw Gavin and smiled, summoning her bag. She took out her book and looked for her page.

Amira looked out the window and stretched her arms over her head. It was too nice to stay inside. She picked up her book and left the room, waving to Gavin on her way out.

Charlotte walked into the common room and waved slightly at the others. She sat down in an armchair that she had come to prefer, and took out the journal that was not hers. She rolled it over in her hands while her head was in the clouds, trying to determine whether or not she should read the private pages concealed between the leather cover.

Amira walked in and saw Charlotte right when she entered,"Oh, lucky", she noticed she had a journal in her hand,"Hey Charlotte, would you have happened to misplace your journal?"

"Why do you ask?" Charlotte asked Amira, not giving her a definite answer. Charlotte's journal looked exactly like the one in her hands, so, unless Amira knew where hers was, she would have no idea that it did not belong to her.

She noticed Gavin in the corner,"Hi there", she said before turning back to Charlotte.
