Theo pulled Lydia into the alcove and sat down on the ledge. "Here we are my Ms. Evans." He smiled.

She smiled and sat next to him. "Thank you my Mr. Nott." She sighed. "I think I may have made it up to Pansy and Amber. I'm taking them to Hogsmeade my treat as a girl's day. And I promised we wouldn't be so obvious in the common room anymore. Like, we can sit together just not being too mushy." She smiled.

"Did you call me mushy?" he asked holding his heart. "Please take that back. I am not mushy."

She laughed. "Oh fine. Is lovey dovey any better?" She kissed his cheek and smiled.

Theo's eye widened. "No! It might be worse. That definitely means no more dancing." He smirked.

She smirked. "Oh but you owe me at least one." She laughed.

He sighed. "Fine, but we have to be alone."

She nodded. "Of course. I don't like sharing our dances actually." She nodded. "So even if we do go to the ball we needn't dance."

Theo blinked. "You said you wanted to dance at the ball. That was your request."

"We don't have to though." She smiled. "I'd love to but you wanted to dance with just the two of us. I'm compromising."

"Lydia, if I attend a ball with you it is my duty to dance with you." He smiled. "I was referring to the common room dancing."

"Well that works too." She smiled. "Or we could skip the ball and hide from my mum." She laughed. "Though if she found me it'd be scary."

"If you want - could write. It would probably stop them." He offered.

"We'll see." She smiled and rested her head on his shoulder. "Depends on how tense the ball is really."

"As you wish." He looked out the window and onto the grounds. "When are we going to race?"
