"Tired," Charlotte said. She had stayed up late last night and desperately needed coffee," and hungry," something that surprised her.

"I trust you were well on your way to the Great Hall to dine then, yes?" Blake half asked, half stated. He studied Charlotte while he inquired that of her, taking in her posture and how she held herself.

"Yes, I was," Charlotte said to Blake. She was trying to remain polite, but a mix of tiredness and annoyance caused her to think that her tone was coming off poorly. She leaned against the wall and tilted her head back, closing her eyes.

Blake got up to try the door again but damn it all it was still locked, "Oh dragon's droppings!" He pounded on the door with his petite fist and huffed, "Peeves! Peeves you let us out this instant!" There was a cackle on the other side of the door but as soon as it was heard it was gone.

"'Dragon's droppings'?" Charlotte asked the boy, laughing to herself, her eyes still closed.

Blake flushed a little, thanking Merlin her eyes were closed as he did, "Yes, dragon's droppings. Swearing is very impolite." He sat back down and now fidgeted just for a few seconds, "Miss Eldridge?"

Charlotte decided that now was no time to try her patience and get in an argument about the 'impoliteness' of swearing. "Yes, Blake?" Charlotte opened her eyes to look at him.

"Am I alone on this feeling or is it... awkward between us." Blake stared quite blatantly at her as he awaited a reply, hands neatly folded over his tome.

"It's a bit awkward," Charlotte agreed, "Yes."

"Is this because of..?" Blake referred to their mishap without so many words, thinking she could probably decipher what he meant as they hadn't really had many run ins with one another.

"Probably," Charlotte said simply. She wondered how much of her journal the boy had read.

"..If it will help any, I do not recall much of what I skimmed. I guarded your thoughts from all but myself but even now recalling full coherent sentences is impossible. I do remember I liked your voice though. It flowed very naturally." Blake offered here a very small smile in his attempted comfort. Honestly, if he tried right now, he doubt he could recall anything but a word or two. The only thing he remembered was the big picture.

"The same with me," Charlotte said. " I don't remember much from the bit that I read, just that everything was very poetic."

"Poetic..?" Blake actively looked to the door to hide his re-flushed face with his hair. "That's very kind of you to say so Miss Eldridge, I thank you."

"Your welcome," Charlotte said to Blake.
