"Ah such a shame," Charity commented but she understood Amber and her reasonings. Charity was once a young woman looking for adventure and boys and she tried to stay in contact and keep close relations with prefects and head boys but hopefully Amber's intentions were no where near promiscuous. "I hope your prefect wasn't out too late," she said, "did you revoke his privilege for the night?" she asked.

Amber put down the chalk and turned away from the chalkboard "I am done with writing Professor McGonagall. Is there anything else you wish for me to do for my detention?"

"I sat with him and almost revoked it but he truly did seem remorseful," Minerva looked thoughtful as she pressed her lips together, "Thus I returned to him his badge after our small heart-to-heart." She summoned another chair and offered it up to Amber, "No Ms. Smith, you completed your detention quite admirably. Please have a seat." Pouring the girl a cup of tea, she offered her the same tea fixings she did Charity and placed some biscuits from her tin onto a plate as well as a few of the Danish butter cookies.

Amber nodded then walked over to sit in the chair "Thank, you" she said picking up the tea cup and taking a sip "It's nice to see you as well Professor Burbage"

Minerva set the plate next to Amber's tea saucer and eyed the girl over her square glasses, "Ms. Smith, what possessed you to come all the way up to the seventh floor after hours aside from being suffocated within the dungeons?"

"Ah, thank you, Miss Smith," Professor Burbage smiled warmly at the student and gave a small nod to her. "I hope you will sign up for my class. I am looking for more students," she said to the Slytherin student. Charity took a sip of her tea and gently set it down back at the saucer.

Amber sighed "You know, I honestly don't know Professor McGonagall. First it turned into just walking around for a bit then I got caught up in thinking about several things and before I knew it, I was on the seventh floor. Then, Ron was walking around and he stopped to chat. We talked for awhile then you obviously knows what comes next" she said taking another small drink of tea "It was very irresponsible and usually I would have never dreamed of walking around on the seventh floor after hours" she said before turning to Professor Burbage "Ah, I'll be sure to sign up then. I had no idea you were looking for students or I would have signed up earlier"

"I believe in our your Ms. Smith, we've all broken rules for purely selfish reasons which is why you sit before me drinking tea and having this conversation instead of being turned to your own agenda- I would like to express that the rules are set for our safety. At night, the castle is a dangerous place not because of people but simply because it tends to have a mind of its own. We'd also, as Professors, like our students to be well rested for classes. If you as students had free reign of your time use I am sure half of our student populous would be drifting asleep." Minerva adjusted her glasses and placed her hands folded over the top of her table while she tried to convey to Amber that detentions were merely to enforce the gravity of the situation and for the safety of the student. A detention did not only subtract time from a student's life but it also subtracted time from a Professor's and it was not fun or enjoyable for either party.

Amber nodded "I agree completely. I also agree that what I done was irresponsible and I am glad you gave me this punishment rather than letting me go and me not learn anything at all about how important the rules of the school really are"

"I would love to have more students. If you could spread the word perhaps I would appreciate the promotion," Charity said to Amber before Minerva went on he small lecture. Charity listened in, nodding occasionally in agreement to the wise professor.
