Draco tapped the rim of his cup lightly as he set it down, taking one of the cloth napkins made available to them and dabbing his lips lightly. He knew what was running through her mind and to be blunt, felt the same way. Sure, he liked Pansy very much, but he wouldn't reveal much about himself either. He respected her for sticking true to her snake nature and smiled softly, "Yes. At least I know more about you than I did before. Astronomy you say? I wish they'd find a professor for the class. I'd take it over Divination. I'm sure the professor would be much more competent and not some distantly related relative of a 'celebrated seer.'" Draco sipped his coffee silently.

Pansy laughed lightly. "I'm sure troll would be more competent than her. But yes, Astronomy. I told you about the ceiling at home? It's in my bedroom so I could watch the stars every night. I've been hoping they would find a professor for it." She delicately picked up her tea. "What other classes are you interested in?" she asked, before taking a sip.

Draco nipped at the fudge and divested his fingers of any crumbs on the napkins before sipping at his coffee again, "Yes I do recall you telling me it was akin to the Hogwarts ceiling, just a tad less advanced in it's charm. I'm sure they'll find a professor, the Headmaster badly wants to fill all of the positions anyhow. He's resourceful when need be, I suppose." Draco pondered Pansy's question for a moment, responding after another sip, "Aside from the typical, I supposed I am curious about Care of Magical Creatures. I am truly fascinated by the field, but have no care for the oaf that is assigned to teach it. Perhaps fate will assign another professor?"

Pansy nodded. "Perhaps." Pansy's attention was drawn to right above Draco's head. One of the cherubs was hovering there looking rather mischievous. Quickly turning her attention back to her date. "I never thought I'd see Draco Malfoy in a place like this, especially on St. Valentine's Day." She gave the creature one more look before picking up her treacle tart.

Draco grimaced slightly, "I never thought I'd be here either." The pained expression soon smoothed over as he regarded Pansy with steady eyes, "But, the company is what makes it worthwhile, not the location." Draco smiled over the cup that was lifted to his lips before he sipped it. Pansy seemed a little distracted to him, he wondered over what.

Pansy lifted an eyebrow at his cliche remark. "Of course, I'm bril-" Suddenly a avalanche of pink, white, and red hear shaped confetti came down over Draco. Her eyes widened in shock as she actually lost sight of him for a moment. When it all came to an end Draco sat covered in confetti that seemed to be sticking to him and sparkling. Pansy bit her lip as her body shook, trying not to outright laugh at the sight.

Griffin walked into Madam Puddifoot's holding Neko's hand. He saw that Draco and Pansy had already arrived. They sat down at a table a little ways away from the other's table. After sitting down Griffin pulled out a knut and his wand. "Don't fail me now transfiguration skills," he mumbled underneath his breath and he lightly tapped the coin with his wand. To his relief the coin turned into a red rose. "Perfect," he said with a smile and handed it to Neko.

Draco's right eye visibly twitched as he sat in front of Pansy, now covered in confetti. He was a sight, as if St. Valentine himself had regurgitated all the bloody holiday stood for on his pristine clothes. Stiffly, Malfoy craned his neck upward to stare at a tittering gold cherub who seemed very content in its mischief. Madam Puddifoot, who had been a few tables away, turned at the sound of something rushing like water and found herself looking at one very brightly colored, blond boy. One of her hand raised to her lips in worry as she calmly thought to herself, Oh dear, oh dear.. this can't be good. Draco made no motion to stand but he pulled out his want, threatening the cherub with as many hexes as he could think of under he breath. If a glare had any repercussions, the cherub would certainly have been a pile of ash under the smoldering gaze.

Pansy was no longer able to contain her laughter broke into a fit of giggles. Draco's face - looking at the cherub - she couldn't contain herself. "Well - at - least - no - one - " she broke off noticing that they were no longer alone. "At least it's two of us?" she asked hopefully. "I think pink might be your color, Draco," she said in another fit of laughter.

Griffin turned and noticed Draco covered in confetti, cursing at a cherub in the air. He chuckled a bit. He knew Draco was probably even angrier than he seemed. He turned back to Neko, still smiling from the sight of Draco covered in pink and red.

Draco decided not to act brashly, and settled for attempting to brush off the confetti whilst growling to his date, "I'm glad you find this so amusing Pansy.." He shook his hair, more confetti sprinkling downward. The cherub fluttered in circles about the table, merrily clapping its small hands. Another growl escaped Draco, "And pink will never be my color." Draco paused in his ministrations, a cool smile flickering over his lips, "But.." He gathered a large handful of confetti, "It might be yours," and tossed it over Pansy in a playful manner.

Pansy wiped away a tear. She really needed to be in control. She knew Draco was more upset than he let on but it was just too good. Suddenly she found herself covered in confetti and laughed. "I don't mind at all and now we match!" Maybe the both of them covered would make him feel better.

Draco cracked a slight smile and shook his head. This was all in good fun. Exploding in a fit of illogical anger would only dampen the day and make it a bad memory. He laughed. Draco leaned back into his chair and laughed.
Madam Puddifoot came to the table with a bright red feather duster, dusting the two off and muttering apologies, "I do not know what came over the little angel! They're usually so well behaved.. Oh I am sorry, truly I am. Your visit is free, it is the least I could do."

Pansy smiled back at Draco. She was having a fabulous time. She flexed her hand, the potion Pomfrey had given her for pain was lessening. After she was dusted off she took another bite of her delicious dessert and glad to see Draco laugh, she liked his laugh and he rarely did it. "I'm impressed, Draco. You didn't even have to threaten her." She motioned with her eyes at Puddifoot.

Ace walked in to Madam Puddifoots, her signature purple notebook in hand, she glanced around wondering where to sit to people watch. Her orange tinted hair fell into her eyes as she noticed Pansy and Draco sitting together, Ace had always wanted to know the Slytherins, mostly because she thought Draco was one of the most interesting people at Hogwarts. Trying to look her best, she walked past their table, taking a seat at one somewhat diagonal to theirs. Ace opened her notebook, letting her thoughts spill out on to the page, ordering her usual when Madam Puddifoot walked by. She smiled to herself and continued writing, already nearly filling up a page.
