Draco had arrived early to purchase the bouquet of crimson roses in his hands. They were charmed to close at night fall and bloom once again in the morning. As of now, they were in full bloom. He anxiously awaited his date, though revealed nothing to the world around him as he casually took a seat at one of the more secluded tables in the tea shop. She had owled him, informing him she may be late but it was of no consequence. He would wait.

Pansy rushed through the door. She had been ready, changing into her pale silver robes and putting on her new boots, making sure she did her hair so Draco could see her earrings that she loved so much. She had been walking up the stairs to leave when Peeves jumped out and scared her, causing her to fall backwards down the stairs. After visiting Madam Pomfrey she rushed over for her date.
Smoothing her clothes she spotted Draco in the corner, letting out a small giggle as she saw cherubs throwing pink confetti his way. She walked over to the table. "Draco my apologies. I had a little run in with Peeves. Please forgive me."

Draco stood with the bouquet in hand, "Pansy, welcome. Don't apologize, we all have matters that somehow get in the way at the most inopportune times." He offered her the bouquet, "You look stunning."

"Oh Draco, these are lovely," she smiled accepting the bouquet blushing a little. "And thank you." She reached into her robes pulling out a white and green stripped box. "I got you something as well. It isn't much, chocolate, but filled with butterbeer. I'm told it's quite good." She handed him the box.

Draco took the box with a soft smile, "Thank you.." He had gotten chocolates from plenty of admirers before, and his mother, but these- these felt different. He truly appreciated the gesture. Snapping out of his thoughts, Draco set the box on the table and pulled out the chair opposite of where he was sitting for Pansy, "Please, have a seat."

Pansy truly hoped Draco liked the chocolate. She hadn't been too sure as to what a teenage boy would want for St. Valentine's Day. "Thank you," she said sitting in the seat offered to her. "I do hope the cherubs weren't giving you trouble." She motioned to the little things flying every which way on what was surly their busiest day.

Draco pushed her in gently and took his own seat, a finger or two trailing over the box fondly as he spoke, "Honestly, I tried to glare at the bloody things to scare them away but most of them don't seem to be phased in the slightest." Draco motioned for a very stout woman with a shiny black bun to come over, who squeezed in between the tables and kindly asked them what they would like. "I'll take some coffee and a few choice cake snacks. What about you Pans?" The stout woman looked over to Pansy.

Pansy tried her hardest not to laugh at the thought of Draco trying to intimidate them as he called the woman over to order. "Oh jasmine tea and I'll just have whatever you're having Draco." She watched as the fogged over window started to spell out romantic phrases.

Madame Puddifoot left in a flurry, squeezing through more tables to retrieve their order. Draco smiled pleasantly to Pansy before recalling her earlier statements, "So, what bit of a run in did you have with that menace poltergeist?" They truly had to find the Bloody Baron, and if no one had yet, where was the ghost wandering if not the dungeons?

Pansy frowned. "Well...I was walking up the stairs on my way to meet you and he jumped out and startled me causing me to fall down several steps. I broke my wrist," she said pausing for a moment. "However, I went to Pomfrey straightaway and she fixed it." She held out her arm for examination, rotating it around. "See, all better."

Draco frowned deeply, brows furrowed in concern as he reached over and touched her wrist, "Is it really alright, Pans? Maybe we should leave early and go back to the castle for a second trip to that Pomfrey woman. I want to make sure it's healed.." In the middle of their conversation, Madam Puddifoot returned with a tray and set it down. She placed the saucer with the delicate teacup settled atop it in front of Pansy and a cup of coffee in front of Draco. A smaller tray was placed in the center in replacement of the typical sugar bowl, which Madam Puddifoot took onto the larger tray to take away, "Enjoy yourself, dears." Draco politely nodded to the retreating woman and looked at the selection of cakes: bouchon, butter, black forest, mousse, chiffon, some treacle tarts, and fudge even.

Pansy's arm started to tingle as Draco touched it but as suddenly as it started it stopped. Madam Puddifoot returned with their order. Pansy briefly wondered how she managed with all these tables so close together. She watched her layout everything on the table and it look magnificent. Treacle tarts! Her favorite. Focusing once more on Draco she said, "It's healed Draco, I promise. I don't want to cut things sort, besides if I went back she would probably make me stay there for a least two days. You know how she is." She smiled. "Thank you for your concern but let's just enjoy ourselves, yes?"

Draco smiled softly and held Pansy's wrist across the table, "Alright. If you truly insist you are fine, I am no one to tell you otherwise." Letting go of her, Draco took a treacle tart and bouchon onto a doily and gently set it in front of Pansy, like a proper gentleman would. He took a fudge square and mousse cake onto a doily for himself, biting into the latter before setting it back down. After swallowing he glanced up at her from his coffee cup, "Tell me more about yourself, Pans. I realize I know very little."

As Pansy watched Draco place the food on her plate she wondered what it most be like for girls who didn't have a proper Pure-blood who knew exactly how to behave. She had seen the way those Gryffindors ate at their table. Imagine how they would behave here.
"Well-I" she stared to answer his question. Slytherins didn't generally reveal much about themselves even to those closest to them in case of getting hurt or betrayed. "I'm sure you've heard of my brother, he's graduated now and started at the Ministry. H-he is the person I'm closest to. Other than that I enjoy reading and my favorite subject is Astronomy. I'm also very talented in charms. Is that what you wanted to know?" She was never good at talking about herself. Usually, boys didn't care to hear about her.
