"Well hopefully we can be beaters together," Arya said, lifting her goblet and nodding her head at Mildmay. "I have a SteadySteer, I got it after last season to help me balance my broom better so when hitting the bludger so I don't waddle on my broom as much," Arya said, wishing she didn't say waddle, but could not think of a better word.

He nodded and said, "I saw that during the matches. If you had a bit of meat on your bones, it would help, too." He nudged the tureen of cheese potato towards her an inch and looked perfectly wicked as he said, "Eat up."

Arya rolled her eyes and ate more cheesy potatoes as Mildmay requested, also taking some sausage to eat. "I guess I should get more muscle if I want to be a beater, but not all beaters are big, hunky men. A woman can be strong and be a beater."

Mildmay's eyes widened and he nodded. "Oh yes. I'm a stalwart fan of the Harpies." His eyes went distant and his smile became slightly goofy. "Aaaah, Gwenog Jones..."

Arya clapped once Mildmay mentioned her, "she is my absolute hero!" Arya exclaimed and let out a dreamy sigh, "I hope to join the Harpies one day and follow in Gwenog's footsteps. She a role model to the few female beaters that exist, but not only to them, to all quidditch players, I assume."

Rose listened to Ayra and Mildmay talk about Quidditch contently. She had never really be 'into' the sport herself, but it was very interesting to here about. Much more than football.
"I'm with you there, Arya!" said Rose at her last comment. "Girl power, and all that," she laughed.

Arya laughed, "yeah! Girl power!" she exclaimed, then ate more food.

Mildmay looked between the girls with a growing grin. "Rose, you should come with us to try-outs, or - hey, the night's still young. Lets go fly!"

Rose froze, with her fork comicly floating in front of her mouth. "Oh...I suppose it might be fun to 'get back on the horse' as they say. And of course I'll come to tryouts - I would miss it!"

Mildmay stood up with a wild grin, obviously eager to get in the air. "Come on, come on, let's go!" He picked up a handful of cool yorkshire puddings and said, "And you can't say you're too hungry to leave yet - the kitchen is really close to the common room, we can grab something on the way back!"

"Yes! Flying would be nice! Are the quidditch grounds open yet...?" Arya wondered, not recalling if they were or not. "I wouldn't want to practice at the lake by the weeping willow..."

Rose stood with them, "I don't see why the pitch wouldn't be open. And besides, I'll need to get one of the school brooms in the supply closet down there to use..."

Mildmay grinned as the girls stood with him. He shrugged at Arya's question - "It's not like they can lock it. If it's closed up, Alohomora will make it give." He dipped his head, and looked sly as a Slytherin as he added, "Besides, there's nothing in the school rules..."

Arya grinned, " I suppose if it's not in the rules, we aren't breaking anything."

He chuckled and purred, "Exactly!"
He turned and started out of the hall, looking back to see if the girls followed.
