"Oh my," she said to herself and bit her lip. Cho's face grew a little red and decided to exit as well.

Cedric walked in a bright smile, as if he was floating. He settled down and piled his plate with eggs, some bacon, sausage, and grabbed his customary slice of toast.

Rose walked into the Great Hall. She saw Cedric at the Hufflepuff table and walked right over. She sat down in front of him.
"Hi, Cedric," she said, putting on a smile. "How was Hogsmeade yesterday?" She knew the answer.

Cedric gave a dreamy sigh, "Oh Rosie, it was amazing..." He took a bite of his toast, swallowing and setting it on a smaller plate, "It was horrible at first, because I was an absolute idiot and forgot to tell her where to meet me! And then we met up at The Three Broomsticks- it was like fate! Oh Rosie I'm so hopeless." Cedric rested his head on his hands as he rested his elbows on the table, "Did you go Rosie?"

Wow, thought Rose, he was really falling hard for Cho. Well it was your fault. You should have asked him to Hogsmeade earlier.
"No," said Rose outloud. "I decided not to. I didn't have anyone to go with. Tonks just wasn't in the mood to go. And honestly...the dementors freak me out. I didn't want to run into them."
Cedric should be happy. And if that was with Cho Chang...so be it.
She really liked it when Cedric called her 'Rosie'.

Cedric made a sound of dissaproval, "Tsk, Rosie. How about we go sometime? We should bring Tonks as well! She seems so depressed lately, it might do her well to get out with some friends. What do you say?"

Dispite what Rose just told herself, and that Cedric had distinctly used the word 'friend', her heart beat wildly.
"O-ok. That sounds great, Cedric." She grinned. "I haven't even been to Hogsmeade yet. This was suppose to be my first trip..."

Cedric pouted a bit, "You missed your first trip?" His mind was working through a few thoughts before he decided, "Then I'll just have to make your second first trip fantastic."

"Yeah," said Rose. "And...that's really nice of you, Ced. I can't wait!" Cedric really was a great friend to have. He was the ideal Hufflepuff - loyal and caring to his friends, and even his enemies. "I have to admit, I can't even wait to try butterbeer for the first time!" She giggled. Everyone said it was amazing.

Cedric smiled, "I remember when I first tried it. It was as if the flavour just washed all over you and made you warm... I do believe The Three Broomsticks should be our first and last stop!" Cedric reached for a pitcher of apple juice and poured some into his goblet, leaning over, "Would you like any? It's quite fresh this morning."

"Yes," Rose said, grinning nervously. "I love apple juice." Cedric poured some for her while she loaded her plate with some bacon and hashbrowns, in her opinion, the best breakfast foods.
"And that's what people say - I can't wait to try for myself." Rose took a bite of food, then washed it down the the sweet juice. "What else can we do, then?" she asked.

Cedric finished his toast and pondered a bit, "Well, the High Street is usually where students wander. We can go to Zonko's, Honeydukes, The Shrieking Shack, and there's even a Gladrags if you and Tonks want to do some clothes shopping."

Rose held up a hand. "Stop! You had me a Honeydukes!" She laughed. "I've been craving for some chocolate! I'm sure entering that store will be like entering heaven."
She sighed dreamily - just thinking about it made her taste the chocolate. "And maybe Tonks and I will do some clothes shopping - but we wouldn't want to make you feel uncomfortable. I know some guys hate going shopping."

Laughing, Cedric looked at Rose with eyes full of mirth, "That's how I felt when I walked in. I must admit, I have a very big sweet tooth!"
"I don't completely hate going shopping like most boys, Rosie. I actually might purchase a few more sweaters or perhaps a nice shirt. Clothing for all occasions is very necessary," Cedric established confidently, sipping his apple juice.

Rose grinned. "I think I actually have sweet teeth - not just one! I really love them. What's your favorite candy? I don't know if you've ever had muggle candy, but I really love Milky Ways - or anything else with chocolate and carmel."
"And I'm glad to hear clothing stores don't make you run with terror, Ced," she chuckled. "Some sweaters sound good, I think. It is getting much colder. And maybe some shoes. I do love shoes...I have a lot in my closet back home."
Rose couldn't keep the smile off her face. Cedric was so confident. He didn't care what he did - he just did it, not caring what other people thought. It was so...refreshing.
