Theo tuned his head to look at her, allowing his face soften. "On the contrary he is not opposed to you." He sighed. "I told you what happened to my mother. I was there. I saw it. That is my first memory." He looked her in the eye. "He offered his input on how to...handle you," he said stiffly.

He grabbed her hand. "You know I would never do that, right? I am not like him." He wanted her to look at him. "Lydia, tell me you know I would never do anything like that. Please?" he said almost desperately.

She nodded quickly. "No I know you wouldn't." She couldn't stop looking shocked though. "What makes him think I need 'handling'? He doesn't even know me!"

Theo turned on the bench, throwing one leg over the bench to straddle it. "That was the first letter he has sent me since the beginning of second year. He despises Dumbledore and will not be popping by. Trust me." He smiled. "I'm sure I can charm your mother anytime she desires to visit."

Pansy walked over to the table and sat down in the almost empty hall. She poured herself some pumpkin juice and filled her plate.

Pansy finished with her assignment and got up and left the Great Hall. She had to send some letters and then get back to the common room.
