Rica walked in and collapsed on the table. The jet lag was worse than she thought.

Amber walked over to the table and looked at Rica who looked awfully tired "Hello Rica" Amber smiled.

Rica's head shot up. "Huh?" She saw the girl about her age standing there. "Is it a natural trait for Slytherin's to know people's names when they've never met??"

Amber smiled "Well possibly Syltherins tend to be the smartest" she joked "but no I found one of your books and asked someone what you looked like so I could return it" she said getting out a book and holding it out for Rica to take it.

Rica looked at the book and rolled her eyes. "Of course. But we really are the smartest- I knew who Draco Malfoy was just from studying up on British Wizarding History. But he didn't seem too surprised about being recognized, he must get it often as hot as he is."

Draco held the door open for Pansy and allowed her through first, both of them coming to settle at the table in their usual spots. As always, Draco made sure Pansy sat before he took his own seat. He took out his Prefect page and pinned it to his shirt, wanting to make it well aware who was partially in charge among the students in the absence of staff.

Pansy watched Draco pin the badge to his robes. "That looks perfect on you, right where it belongs." she said pour a glass of pumpkin juice. "Would care for some?" she offered Draco.

Draco smirked, "As if anything looks less than perfect on me, Pans." He looked at the offered pitcher, "And yes please." Draco began spooning decent portions of the foods available onto his plate, offering to Pansy a spoonful of steaming roast potatoes, "Pans?"

Pansy poured Draco a glass of juice. "No, thank you. I think I'll just have dessert." She reached over for the treacle tart. "I'm sure you're parents will be proud you've made Prefect."

Draco set down the potatoes and sipped at the goblet, "My father was a Prefect when he was in school. It may only be natural for Malfoy's to be Prefects in his eyes."

Pansy sighed. "True, but your mother will probably be happy regardless." she offered.

Draco smiled a little at the remark, "Mother will be." He took a bite of the potato currently on his fork, chewing thoughtfully. Classes began tomorrow, all the positions weren't filled.. Draco couldn't help but wonder how that would go.

Rica finished eating, grabbed her book and stood. She nodded to Amber, Pansy and Draco with a smile and started heading towards the common room.

"And I'm proud of you as well," Pansy added, taking a bite of her tart. Tomorrow classes would start and she still had to come up with something for that Hufflepuff. Things might be even easier for her now that Draco was a Prefect. "Oh, Draco, you get you use the Prefect's bathroom. I've heard they have a bathtub the size of a swimming pool!"
Pansy waved goodbye to Rica but she thinks she missed it.
