Draco shot Pansy a thankful grin and stopped mid-chew when Pansy mentioned the Prefect's bathroom, "Father always did say that was one of the best perks of being a Prefect.. Perhaps it has some merit. I'll check it out later."
Draco had nodded back to Rica as she had retreated.

Pansy nodded pouring Draco more juice. Leaning over she rested her head against his shoulder and looked up at the ceiling. She hadn't really been very hungry but she was taught never to turn down an invitation.

Draco finished the forkful he had and set down the fork, stiffening when Pansy laid her head on his shoulder. He relaxed and wrapped an arm around her waist to make it more comfortable for both of them, "Are you tired?" His gaze followed hers, looking up at the swirling sky.

She shook her head. "No, just easier to look up this way. Would you like me to move?" she asked looking up from his shoulder.

Draco nodded slightly, "Yes. It's rare, to be able to let down your guard around people. I suppose it is easier with a relatively empty hall."

Draco chuckled and gently unwrapped himself from Pansy to stand, "To the commons?"

Lydia made her way into the hall and sat down at the end of the table again. It was rather close to curfew and she wanted to make sure she had some dinner before it was too late. She settled on salad once more.

Pansy missed the lack of contact. "Can I meet you there? I, like you, have a mother expecting an owl. I don't need a Howler to start my day tomorrow."

Draco nodded, "See you then." He made motion to leave, but decided last moment to turn and kiss Pansy softly on the cheek. Looking at her for a moment, he turned and left the hall for the common room.

Pansy's eyes widened and her stomach felt like it was floating away. She took a deep breath and started for the door. "Goodbye, Evans. I have to run and send my mother an owl, perhaps I'll see you in the common room," she said and then headed for the Owlery.

Pansy strolled into the hall and took her usual seat at the table. She poured herself a glass of juice and grabbed some toast and a couple pieces of bacon.
