Lydia looked over and smiled, getting up and the fifth year following. She looked back to him a bit confused but shrugged it off. She sat down and smiled. "Asked him to come down with me since everyone else was busy."

Theo looked down the table. "I believe he just told Draco to mind his own business. This should be good..." he whispered back.
Theo looked to Lydia. "How is your hand doing today?"

Draco slowly swallowed the lump of food in his mouth, feeling very much castigated. He couldn't find the words to say.

"Hello Lydia" Amber smiled still paying attention to Blake & Draco.

Lydia held it up showing there was no longer the silly looking sling and just her thumb was bandaged now. "Much better. Thank you again for taking me down last night."
She smiled to Amber. "Hello."

Blake scooted away from Draco slightly and sipped his tea calmly, "I do believe your ego is taking up a lot of space, Mister Malfoy. Perhaps you should shut it away. Your head seems like a fitting place, as it seems to be very much empty."

"Wow" Amber mouthed to Theodore as she couldn't believe what she was hearing.

Theo turned to look down the table. He would have been more than happy to hex the boy but Draco was more than capable of defending himself in public.

Draco fought the color threatening to cover his face. He turned to Blake glowering, "Mr. Deimos, perhaps I was wrong in what I said but I don't believe it gives you excuse enough to be so biting in your remarks. I apologize if I seemed pressing and unthoughtful in telling you to leave your friend but I think you owe me an apology for taking your words much too far."

Lydia was about to reply before she heard Blake and blinked. "Uh...that's...wow..." She blinked. The fifth year boy had seemed to sense that the conversation between Draco and Blake was not a good one to be near and wandered off.

"And I do believe I'm being biting enough. After all, I am only defending myself in a matter I took personally. Is that not what you do?" he asked as he gently pushed his mostly empty plate away in favor for a plate of treats to go with his second cup of tea.

Draco opened his mouth to speak again when Blake interrupted with his response. He shut his jaw with an audible click, his teeth clashing with one another in the process. Blake was right. He had just done so recently when Pansy had pushed him away and he had taken it like a personal attack to his person. Bloody hell.

Looking briefly to Draco, Blake sighed and set his cup down, "I am sorry if I hurt you Draco, but I'm not sweet all the time. I'm placed in this house for a reason, and I can be just as bitter and cold in my words as any of you here. You have to understand though that I'm not like you, or Freya, or Miss Pansy. I'm different and see things differently."

Theo continued to watch the conversation. "What the hell happened to Malfoy while I was away?" he asked Amber and Lydia. "I would have blasted that boy across the Great Hall. I nearly did just now."
