Draco turned to Freya and began talking to her in a hushed whisper about something personal.

Blake suddenly wished he had brought a book. His mother had sent plenty of them along with him, some probably never touched by Slytherin students here because of their origin. He saw Draco and Freya were entertained with themselves and decided not to be a bother to either one. With grace and silence, he stood and adjusted his v-neck sweater- smoothing it of any wrinkles, and left the hall.

Draco and Freya grew tired of the hall and left together, abiding by the rule. They decided to wander a little and then return to the common room.

Draco entered with Pansy and took a seat, only reaching for a roll. He had pretty much snacked the day away with Freya, he wasn't very hungry. He took a kettle and looked to her, "Tea?"

Pansy nodded. "Yes, please." Noticing that Draco only took a roll, she took one as well and only put a small amount of food on her plate. "So what have you been doing these last few days?" she asked.

Draco poured her some tea and gently slid the saucer to her, "Oh just talking to Freya. I do believe the rest of the common room doesn't appreciate our getting to know one another for some strange reason. It's almost as if I'm not allowed to have more than one friend to them. How about you, Pans? You left so suddenly though you warned me."

Pansy politely took a sip of her tea. Friend. "I didn't mean to worry you." Her voice was suddenly and unexpectedly formal. "My parents, more so my mother, needed me to attend an event at our manor. She wanted to introduce me to someone. I don't believe you know him. He attends Durmstrang."

Draco quirked any eyebrow, "Oh? Do tell Pans. You have the most interesting endeavors while you're away."

Pansy took a bite of her food before continuing. "His name is Alex Gregov, and he is two years older than we are. My father knows his from business dealings. There isn't much to tell really. The normal conversations and such." She wasn't going to go into the fact that he was an overly touchy feely sort of person and she had spent her day trying to politely avoid him.

"Oh? Sounds very much like the meetings I attend with my parents sometimes, and those, although a bore, always have great music and wonderful delicacies," Draco said, fondly.

"i wish it was like that." Pansy stiffened. "No, it was horrible," she said in a low voice. "I don't want to be with him," she finished in a whisper, swallowing and taking another sip of tea.

Draco spat the pumpkin juice he had served himself in a very uncouth manner and asked in a sharp whisper, "Be with him?"

Pansy nodded slowly and then looked at Draco. "I told my mother I don't want to. I want - He's horrid." A small tremor went through her. "I don't think my father or my brother were fond of him."

Draco sighed deeply, not liking where this was going, "Pans. Tell them that then. You should be able to find a much better suitor than one most of you all don't approve of."

Pansy looked at him again. "It's not that easy, Draco. You can have anyone you want simply because you're the Malfoy heir. I get to be bartered off if needed." She shrugged. "It's not as though anything is going to happen now. I have time."
