Lydia sat herself in the corridor just outside the door and sobbed. She did not need to be caught like this by someone patrolling but she didn't want to go back in. She still held the letter tightly in her hand.

Theo came rushing out after Lydia and wrapped his arms around her. "I can curse her if you want."

She shook her head and continued to cry. "No..." She managed. "I-I don't...I-I" She couldn't get out that she hadn't meant to ignore Amber if that was how she percieved it and so she just sat there crying loudly in a rather undignified way.

"It's all right. Just let it out and I'll be here. You can get my shirt as soggy as you want," he whispered still holding her.

She nodded slowly, not calming just yet. She had been trying so hard to keep positive and remind herself that everything happened for a reason. Once she finally calmed she looked up. "I-I didn't...i-ignore her. A-And I mean..W-We only recently....Yesterday!" She fell into a fit of silent tears. "Sh-She's one of my best friends! Why would I ignore her!?"

She looked up and wiped her eyes. "I-I should talk to her shouldn't I?" She hicoughed, pulling her knees up to rest her chin on them.

She shook her head and kissed his cheek. "Don't apologize. I'm glad I have you." She sighed. "We should go back in I'm sure. I don't want detention for being in the corridors..." She sighed heavily.

Lydia hurried out the door and down the hall a bit to where her mother was waiting. Once she'd met up with her she showed her back to the common room.

Kiba took a moment and stood in quiet contemplation outside the common room. "What should I do if I see Pansy or Griffin?" he pondered. He had spent the day relaxing outside under the sun, but now he found himself affected by the familiar stresses of school life. Taking one last deep breath, Kiba entered the common room.

Griffin walked up to the common room door and looked at his watch. A grin appeared on his face when he saw the time. Perfect, he thought to himself as he walked in.

Draco leaned near the door as another bout of illness struck him, his stomach protesting further and angrily pressing against his inner intestinal walls. Something in him told him it was food poisoning but he pressed onward and entered the common room with rapidly declining strength.
