She nodded and continued on, adding a few more things jumping back quickly as her cauldron sputtered. "Ah!" Once she was sure it was safe she took a peek inside, surprised it hadn't ruined the potion.

Nyssa began adding the ingredients to the cauldron bit by bit. Stirring when she needed to. She added her last ingredient and let it simmer for a while.

Theo looked over and raised his eyebrow at Lydia. "All right there?"

Emery looked over the ingredients, perplexed at the ingredients in front of him. He slammed his book down and heard an audible SMOOSH. Emery cringed and picked his book up see he had squashed flobberworm on the back. "OH BOLLOCKS!" he exclaimed, scraping whatever he could into the cauldron, "Disgusting..."

The first couple of steps were easy enough, but when he came to the frog's blood, he had to eyeball an ounce. He didn't have a way to measure that out, so he hoped it wasn't a major ingredient and wouldn't affect the potion too much.

Lydia nodded and smiled. "Yeah I'm alright." She blushed. She finished putting the ingredients in. Once she was done she let it simmer and tilted her head. "Well it looks right." She smiled and looked to Theo. "Doing alright?"

"Hey, Theo?" David asked, "What color was your potion after you added the liquified wormwood?"

Blake finish with the last step and watched the cauldron swirl as he crushed the two and a half inches of vine from the Moonflower in his mortar, wincing when Emery crushed his flobberworm. Tilting the basin to pour any liquid extracted from the vine into the cauldron, he let it drop in a circular motion- opposing the directing the healing potion was still swirling in. He let the fire begin to die so it would slowly simmer down, like Nyssa's was doing at the moment.

Fred looked over at Emery and laughed, "Ooh. Better luck next time mate." He looked over as Emery's cauldron turned a calming shade of light blue. Just the sight of it relaxed him. As he looked at the others' cauldrons, he noticed they had the same effect, but not to the same degree as Emery's. Perplexed, he checked the directions again. He looked down at the flobberworm. It was a disgusting little creature, leaving mucous trails as it wormed around. He took his stirring rod and brought it down right on top of the little creature. Goo formed strings between the ladle and the table as he lifted it back up. He used his knife to scrape up the remains and tossed them into the cauldron. After a few seconds, it turned the same shade of blue as Emery's. He laughed in surprise and made a note of it in his Potions book. He might actually do ok on this potion.

Emery was really quite unsure of what to do, even after looking at his peers' potions. They all seem to be doing so swimmingly... he thought. His eyes turned into an embarrassed yellow shade as he just quickly dumped everything into the cauldron (all in the right measurements though). He backed away and flinched, awaiting what come may.

He tried squashing the Wockes root, hoping it worked like the flobberworm, but instead, the dried root turned into powder where he'd smashed it. He chopped the remainder of the root, and added the powder and chopped pieces to the potion. It started to emit an odor that made him unusually tired. He covered his nose and looked around. No one else's emitted any kind of smell. He turned to Blake. "Uhh...Blake...would you mind helping me with my potion?"
