"I spend most of my time on the lake near our house back home," she said getting a slightly reminiscent look about her face. "It is huge! Well huge for our area and we'll take the dogs kyaking and water skiing in the summer then we'll play hockey in the winter. It is a lot of fun."

"That's so cool!" Gavin exclaimed, putting his elbows on the table. "I'm not much of a lake guy. It seems to... dirty for me," he shrugged one shoulder. He then stood up straight, "woah, you take your dogs water skiing too?"

"Yeah, we made a special sled-like thing for them to sit on. It is quite funny. We made a pyramid too also using the dogs."

"A pyramid? Like a human pyramid? With dogs?" Gavin titled his head, waving his hand to the waitress and asked for tea. "Do you have sheepdogs?"

"Yes on all counts. Border collies to be exact. We have..." she started counting on her fingers. "Five."

"Dogs are pretty cool,." Gavin said, "I live in a townhouse so we can't have a dog," Gavin said. "Did you know, when I was younger, I red dog as god and god as dog? I read those words backwards for some reason. I think it was to be silly."

"That is too cute!" she said putting her hand on his arm as she did so. "I wish I had a story from my childhood like that. I'm not sure if I don't remember them or if I was just a boring child." she said leaning closer to him.

Gavin blushed lightly when Nyssa's hand was on his arm. He too a small breath and looked up before meeting eyes with Nyssa, "nah, you aren't a boring child. I just remember doing that a lot. I stopped when I was... six, or so. It started when I learned to read, so... about one-two years." Gavin's heart beat went faster when Nyssa leaned in closer, he moved his head back slightly, unsure of what to do.

"Still..." she said leaning back removing her hand from his arm. She could tell she had made Gavin uncomfortable. Her brain switched into overdrive trying to think of why. "It would be nice to have a story like that." she finished her sentence and started fidgeting with the napkin she had put on the table.

Gavin shrugged, "I don't go around saying that story. I think it's kind of dumb. I was trying to think of something funny to tell you," Gavin said and held the back of his neck. "How did your family react to you being a witch?"

"They don't know. I couldn't think of how to tell them," she said looking slightly embarrassed.

"Wait-" Gavin paused, " how do they not know? Where do they think you are at?" Gavin asked.

"I picked out a random very strict boarding school," she said. "They think I'm going there. I gave them a mailing address, told them I couldn't have a computer or a phone, and my owl goes to check my mail everyday."

"Don't they find it weird that an owl gives them mail?" Gavin asked. "How did you do shopping for school supplies by yourself? That must of been scary."

"It is a farm in the middle of nowhere. It is a quarter of a mile to walk to our mailbox. They never see who delivers it. Though most of the time my owl just drops the letters I send them in a mailbox because it would take her too long to fly home unless she managed to sneak on a plane or something,"she shifted in her chair a bit. "It was terrifying. I was surrounded by witches and wizards and I had never even seen one before in my life. I had to figure out a new monetary system, two actually. It was quite the experience. Same with getting on the train to come here. Alone in Kings Cross Station. It was quite intimidating."
