Deflating Draught
Ingredients:
- Bubotuber pus (Undilated)
- Syrup of hellebore
- 3 moke ribs
- Spine of lionfish
- Murtlap Tentacles (Dried)
You will find the Undilated Bubotuber Pus and Moke Ribs in the store cupboard and your instructions on the board. If you'd like to participate in the challenge, you may stay after class and do so.
You have one attempt. Failure automatically recieves a "P" and no points. Any catastrophic failures resulting in injury automatically recieve a lower grade and deduction of points relative to destruction. You have been warned.
You may begin:
1. Add one measure of pus and one measure of syrup to a heated cauldron.
2. While the liquid is being heated crush the moke ribs into a fine powder and add to potion when it just begins to bubble.
3. Reduce heat so that the potion remains heated, but does not boil.
4. Carefully place Lionfish Spine on top of potion. It should be sufficiently thick so that the Spine will not sink, but rest on top.
5. Add just enough water to potion so that it will dilute enough for the spine to begin to sink into the potion. Adding too little water will result in the spine remaining on top, and adding too much water will cause the spine to sink to the bottom of the cauldron and char, which will ruin the potion.
6. Having added enough water to allow the spine to remain suspended in the middle of the potion, let the potion stew until the spine dissolves (no more than 5 mins)
7. Add Tentacles and let stew in potion for ten minutes.
8. Strain potion and bottle. Chill before use.
