Welcome to a new year at Hogwarts

Welcome students to a new year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry; I hope you all find yourselves well and prepared to delve into a new year. There are just a few things the Headmaster and I would like to make you all aware of before the year is officially underway so please bear with this post and plow on.

Firstly, I would like to remind everyone of the rules.
There is a specific way of ensuring the Headmaster that you have read the rules which requires you read the entire post and it's simply a security measure; failure to comply with this process will result in the student in question not being sorted as well as having their account deleted eventually.
I would like all students, new or old on here, to reread the rules and go through the formality again. Thank you.

Secondly, congratulations Slytherin on your first place win in the tournament, congratulations Ravenclaw on second place, Hufflepuff on your third, and Gryffindor on your fourth; all four houses battled against one another valiantly and we are very proud as professors of every one. You will each have a trophy showcased in the common room; at the end of this year, the four trophies will be moved to the Trophy Room on the third floor.

Thirdly, our old Book Club will become a weekly discussion time on the board and if you remember, this event earns your house points on participation basis. It is not mandatory but highly encouraged for it is a great way to meet new students from outside of your house as well as learn how to embrace different ways of encountering themes and thoughts. All are welcome and we encourage students of all ages to join us in the library at the posted times (refer to the bulletin boards frequently to find when the first meeting will be held and every meeting hence after).

Lastly, this year's events will be as follows: the return of Voldemort, a Yule Ball, and possibly the Chamber of Secrets though the latter is pending on the results of the poll. These are the only events as of now but we would very much like you to PM us with any plot ideas you may have as we are quite open to receiving the thoughts of our members.

As an after thought, we'd like to notify you all that character profiles are now required for it helps others not only get to know your character but clears any misconceptions as well as paint a mental image of your character's looks and personality. If you're not aware of where the thread is, please click here to get to it.
If you have any questions, concerns, wish to make drastic changes to your character, feel free to message us with anything at all.

Once again, Welcome.

To those who have returned to us again, we are happy to have you. To those who have left, we are sad to see you go.

Just a brief introduction to the new year, please remember to brush up on the rules as usual. Sadly last year there was little action at all though the board is still quite nicely organized.

Please also refer once again to the itinerary and do remember that we are always hiring professors (the ones we have tend to disappear after a while).

As you may have noticed, I tend to keep things much shorter than Professor McGonagall but I am sure the importance comes through nonetheless.

As a side note, please do note that students are not to leave the grounds without permission. (As always)
