This is going to an account of the whole trip so it'll be long and all that but there'll be accompanying pictures too so don't mind me.
We started out Sunday morning at a stupid hour. Seven of us crammed into the van with bags and all. Not comfortable in the least. We left at 7am and made it to the to the Canadian/US border. (We live in Canada so we're taking the easy route through the states rather than the awful unsafe and horrible road through Ontario. (Death didn't sound too exciting to us).
Over the trip I was subjected to bad movies including Mr. Deeds about eight-thousand times and Epic Movie or whatever that crap was. It certainly wasn't Pirates. I wish I'd brought
Harry potter or Monty Python at least.
Most of the ride was pretty sucky all the way to Toronto so I slept....slept....slept....took some video....slept....took some pics...slept...... yeah....
When we finally got into Toronto we stayed at my uncle's house. He has this really epic chair in the basement.
you can see my two friends who came with. We were exhausted but we knew if we went to bed too early we'd die the next day. That IS jenga on the table and my old computer which ever-so-nicely DIED the next day D: New computer though, I have mad love for my new computer.
The next morning we set out for the Ontario science centre. My sister, cousin, and aunt were going to Wonderland so we dropped them off first. We saw Windmills on the way. (Okay I lied we were staying about 2 hours outside Toronto.)
When we got there we knew it was the right place instantly (haha)
And this was posted over the door:
After entering the building the first thing we saw was the flying car. I almost cried xD
Then we went to the ticket agents and got our tickets, a map, and anything else we could with the Harry potter logo haha xD
Down down down we went after that into pretty much the basement of the building and BABOOM!
(Yeah it was so big I had to take the picture in two parts)
We weren't allowed photos inside the exhibit so I'll make a long (short) explanation!
We walked in and were sorted (not everyone, too many people) but I did get sorted and I was a Slytherin. (It was pretty biased though xD If you said what you wanted it gave it to you). We also had a Hufflepuff and a Ravenclaw. Then the woman who was sorting it opened the doors (with magic of course) and we all filed into a small dark room that vaguely reminded me of the haunted mansion in Tokyo Disneyland.
After watching a video of all the movies so far compiled (and all of us getting tears in our eyes the doors to the exhibit opened and we heard the familiar call of "FIRST YEARS!!! FIRST YEARS THIS WAY!" and through the smoke and past the glaring lights there was the Hogwarts Express! We were ushered in and the doors shut behind us.
Still wibbling about the entrance we went through, saw everything EVEN NEVILLES DANCE SHOES from Goblet of fire! Moving portraits, trunks, outfits, DanRad is pretty small! Rupert Grint seemed small too even. I wonder why they all seemed so much taller than me XD.
After seeing Draco's Nimbus 2001 and 2cnd year quidditch robes, Wood's robes and the robes of the world cup opponents we pulled mandrakes, shot quaffles, and much more. Snape's wand, SO INTRICATE. Everything was just amazing. The great hall was fantastic. (Ron's aunt tessie doesn't smell that great haha). Saw all the dress robes and the tri-wizard cup. HAGRID'S OUTFIT IS HUGE. LIKE...HUGE. LIKE MASSIVE HUGE! I sat in his chair! So much pink with Umbridge! :'D.
The Colin Creevy petrified statue was freaky. I was sure he was going to spring to life. The dementors and the graveyard stuff was incredible and *O* VOLDEMORT'S ROOOOOOBES. HKJGHKJI
After we left we went straight into 'Diagon Alley' and spent a LOT of money. They had so many things I wanted but if I'd gotten them it'd have cost me $1000 or more. They had a Wizard Chess set for $499.99, A Nimbus 2001 for $200, The Sword of Godric Gryffindor for $280, Jewellery aka the Horcrux pendant. It was awesome.
My swag back at the hotel:
I was hoping to get something Hufflepuff too but sadly I didn't get the chance to. They favoured Gryffindor and Slytherin haha!
The next day (and the three of us not feeling well that night due to the heat) we went to Niagra falls. It was really good.
We stared with Tussad's Waxworks and after a rather spiritual visit with Ghandi, Mother Theresa, and the like we went to their Hogwarts section.
They're not that great of statues but they're pretty good for wax.
And of course no waxworks would be complete without visiting a REAL vampire.
After a ride on the Maid of the Mist we listened to some good music outside the Hard Rock Cafe and then went back up to see the Ripley's museum.
After seeing a $3million Buddah, a collection of canes that are made of awesome, and a Vampire defense kit we headed over to the moving theatre and then down to the falls again to take some photos at night.
And that's all the pictures I took that were exciting xD
Sorry about the quality of some of them. Moving around and being jostled by crowds mixed with bad lighting makes it hard to take good photos even when using a fancy camera. I hope you guys enjoyed my little retelling. I did buy a guide book so maybe I can show some of that sometime.
And now I'm back to keep an eye on everything here! Thanks for taking the time to read.
