"Oh yeah. Drool." Arya said flatly, rolling her eyes. "Who ever said they would wear tones of make up?" Arya asked, "do you even talk to any girls at this school?" she wondered. When Oliver asked her, Arya blushed. "Um, are you seriously asking me? I don't know if you are joking at this point...." her voice ascended, not knowing if she should accept, she would feel silly if he was only kidding.

"Uhm..." he said sheepishly, rubbing a hand at his nape, "I actually...But still...no. I don't talk to them. But I don't want to!" Oli said childishly. "And of course I'm serious. Why would you think otherwise?"

Arya shrugged, "well, you do like to joke around with me," she said, "but I will accept your offerr, Oliver!" Arya smiled, "better to go with a best friend anyways, no drama," she said. "Hmm, you really don't talk to any girls outside of Hufflepuff? Seriosuly?"

Oliver yet again raised her hands in surrender, "I know, I know," he said. "I get too shy around them. Well, I did talk to this girl once... But that was it. Don't worry, I promise I'll try to socialize some time soon," he reassured her.

"Who is the girl?" Arya asked, "c'moon, Oliver..." she groaned, "I don't see why you aren't giving me specifics, it's just a girl, and I don't care if you 'just talked,;" Arya used air quotes, "just talking means something else happened. Give me the details!" she begged, trying to give him puppy dog eyes.

"Alright, hold your horses," he said and sat down on the grass, patting the ground beside him, "sit." Oliver tried to recall what happened. "I was at Three Broomsticks. But of course, my clumsy self had to emerge and I spilt Butterbeer over someone. It was Amber Smith," he said.

Arya sat down on the grass next to him, her elbows on her knees and she put her chin on her hands and smiled widely, interested to hear the story. "Oh, a date. And way to spill Butterbeer, but that is a smooth move. It gets the girls worried, they show interest on helping you clean up, I see what you are doing there," Arya winked at Oliver. However, her face dropped when he said her name. "Amber?" she groaned, "at least it wasn't Pansy..." she muttered. "Amber and I did not have a good encounter one time...," she shook her head.

"Hey!" he exclaimed. "I believe I made no mention of it being a date. We were merely at the same place at the same time," he protested to his bestfriend's smiling face. His demeanor change when her expression changed. "Really? What happened?" he asked.

Arya sat up straight and took a breath before explaining, "well," she said, getting prepared to talk fast, "Mildmay, Rose, and I went to the quidditch grounds to practice flying since quidditch season is up. Rose needed a broom, so Mildmay unlocked the broomshed to get her a broom, we were flying around, it was really cool, and Pansy comes in and freaking curses or hexes, I don't know, Rose's broom! It froze and she fell into the mud, and then Pansy says," Arya used a deep, ugly voice, "'five points from Hufflepuff for each of you!'" her voice went to normal, "and I said, hey, Mildmay and I still have an hour, and Pansy starts throwing a fit, and Griffin is there, so you know, he's out past curfew. Cedric came to help us, he was wondering around, and then out of NOWHERE, Amber shows up! I always thought she was a younger year, but apparently she was a sixth year and we start arguing, and augh!" Arya took a deep breath and pulled her hair, making angry noises, "it pisses me off! That whole situation was stupid!"

Oliver shook his head, patting Arya's back soothingly. "What a bunch of maniacs," he said. "I'm positive that ever since, they've been too obsessed about house points. But honestly, before your story, I didn't think that they were like that." Oliver thought that house wars were long gone, but he was so wrong. "Just let them be. And don't ever start the fight." he reminded her.

Arya rolled her eyes, "oh please, they are Slytherins, they try to fit in with the social crowd. I don't even think they are truly mean, they just want to be accepted by other Slytherins, so they all put a mask on," she said and rolled her head around to loosen the tension in her neck. "I know not to start the fight, but I can't help but argue if I find stupidity in it all."

"Hmm," he said in agreement. Oliver felt the sting of guilt upon hearing the words 'accepted' and 'stupidity'. He remembered the 'stupidity' he made. Oli sighed and stared up the vast emptiness of the dark sky.

"Do you think we should go to the common room?" Arya asked, "it's getting chilly... or should we take advantage of the extra hour of curffew we have?" she said, "we could walk around the castle, or am I being a baby for not wanting to stay outside?"

"We could," he said. "It is getting quite too cold." He stood up and pulled Arya up. Oliver led them back towards the castle when he stopped in mid-step as Arya made mention of 'baby'. Suddenly, tears were brimming Oliver's eyes. He quickly looked away so that she could not see his face.

"C'mon, Oli!" Arya said cheerfully, "let's go to the common room down, no time to stop," she said as she walked, briefly looking behind herself to make sure Oliver was following her to the common room.
