By the Lake

[Neko Wormwood]

Neko looked up at the sky. She loved the feeling of the rain hitting her face, she only wished it wasn't so cold. "Mother... what should I do?" She whispered. "I feel so lonely... even when there are people everywhere. Griffin makes me happier than I have ever been, but he hasn't been around much lately. I'm not doing very well with my school work either and because of me, Ravenclaw might win the house cup. I don't want to let anyone down... it's just so much to deal with all at once." She cradled her head in her arms and cried harder.

Neko sat up and wiped her eyes. She was happy that she had used the spell to keep her makeup from smudging again. Her entire body was freezing and she was starting to shiver. "I guess I should head back inside..." She said. She slowly stood up and headed back to the castle.

[Ron Weasley]

Ron strolled towards the lake,with his jacket and hood on. He sat down and he could feel the coldness of the snow,while the rain poured heavily. He doesn't care if he get sick,he loves the cold. He gazed at the lake,his thoughts wandering.

Ron was shivering. It was getting a little cold sitting down in the rain and the snow. He got up and makes his way back into the castle.

Neko walked out to the spot by the lake where she had been a few days earlier. She was confident that she wouldn't get sick this time because she was dressed for the weather. "I wonder where he could be..." She sighed and removed her hood and let her hair down, allowing the rain to fall on her head and drip down her face.

Neko sighed. "I guess I should get back..." She told herself as she turned and made her way back to the castle.

Neko walked out to the lake and stood in a dry spot under a nearby tree. She unpacked her violin and started to play.

Neko stopped playing and sighed. She shivered a bit, but at this point she didn't really care if she got sick again. She stared out at the lake, thinking of a new song to play. She decided to just play whatever came to mind and the result was a sad, almost haunting tune.

[Ron Weasley]

Ron walks to the lake,braving the weather and not bringing an umbrella. He never had one,he thought. He saw the girl earlier,when he's on top of the Astronomy tower. She was playing the violin. And then he suddenly recognized her. It's Neko,Amber's friend. He walks up to her under the tree. "Hey Neko. I heard you playing the violin nearby but I'm not a creep or anything but here,you must be freezing." He took out his jacket and hands it to her.

Neko stopped playing her violin and turned around. "Oh, hello." She looked at the jacket in his hand and smiled. "Oh, I don't need it. My cloak is warm enough."

[Ron Weasley]

"You sure,though? I had my fair shares of the hospital wing to not want to risk myself out in this weather anymore." He laughs. "I'm Ron,by the way. Ron Weasley." He then asked,"What are you doing out here in this weather? You're not feeling cold?"

Neko tucked a piece of hair behind her ear as the packed her violin back into the case. "I like rainy weather." She said with a slight smile. "I find it calming. And I put a charm on my cloak so it will stay warm so I don't get sick like I did last week."

[Ron Weasley]

Ron nodded. "I like this kind of weather too,my kind of weather. But my friends seem to oppose to my choice of weather,though." He then said,"Oh,carry on. Don't stop on my account. I just wanted to ask whether you need a jacket to keep it more warm. I'll guess I'll be going now. Bye." He waved to Neko and walks back to the castle.

Neko waved as he walked away. She was done playing for now anyway. Playing in the cold was making her fingers hurt. She frowned, a little sad to be left alone again. She walked out from under the tree and looked up at the sky. "Mother... what should I do?"

Neko sighed and held her cloak closer to her. "I guess I should go back inside." She told herself. She picked up her violin case and headed back to the castle.
