"No, dreading it," Jake answered seriously.

"We are both so determined to go back to our dorms I see," Nyssa said sarcastically.

"Just because we should doesn't mean I want to," Nyssa whined.

Blake had taken time out of his day to walk the grounds and make way to the edge of the forest he never dared enter. He didn't know whether it was fear of being caught or fear of be taken that scared him, he suspected even the fear of the unknown, but he plowed on anyhow. It was late and he would have to return to the castle soon but there was something about needing to see the trees on the edge and be there like he was so often. Hands fumbling to tuck his hair behind his ears. The sounds of stray birds and now owls. It was a peaceful night.

Tripping over a root he didn't see, Blake caught himself on that same tree and looked down at the culprit. He huffed a tad and stepped over the protruding nuisance gingerly, done with walking for the night. Turning away from the darkened forest he found his way to the house common room.

Jake walked out to their usual spot. Setting the cage down before he took a seat on the grass.

Nyssa laid down next to him and looked up at the sky.

Jake smiled down at her and then looked around and into the forest. "It feels like we haven't been here in forever."
