Jake sat down under his normal tree taking out his sketchpad. A butterfly flutterd past his head causing him to smile. It was a beautiful day to be outside without a care in the world.

Jake finished his sketches of the butterfly, deciding to try another attempt at the unicorn he'd started the other day.

Getting frustrated, Jake ripped out the paper from his pad and wadded it up tossing it away from him. He had a pile of about three or four by now. Giving up from the time being, Jake laid down to look up at the sky from his shady area under the tree. There weren't many clouds out to entertain him so he thought to himself as another butterfly fluttered about above him.

Nyssa walked up to Jake still carrying the letter and tulip he had sent her. "Hello there," she said.

Jake turned his head, smiling and looking up. "Hey! What's going on?"

"Oh nothing, really," Nyssa said sitting down. "Sorry it took me so long to get here."

"It's not a problem. I told you there was no rush, I've been enjoying the day," Jake said sitting up to match her.

Nyssa smiled and looked up at the sky. She was just as conflicted as ever and she was hoping an answer would just fall from the sky and make everything better.

"You're talkative" Jake said, joking. "There have been lots of butterflies out today. I drew a few of them but nothing more interesting has ventured out to say hello."

"What?" Nyssa said snapping her gaze back to Jake. "I'm sorry. Just thinking. Butterflies? I love butterflies. They always make me think of second chances."

"Yeah, there seems to be a lot of them out today. I used to have them when I was little. I loved letting them go after they came out of their cocoons," Jake said not wanting to bother her too much, he seemed to be distracted. He laid back down and looked up again.

"I used to be the same. If you walked into my room you'd see a ton of milkweed covered in monarch caterpillars and cocoons. I had one butterfly that hatched that refused to leave me. It would go outside with me on my head and never fly away. I had to make it sugar water to drink."

"You seem to have a lot of things that decide you are worth hanging around. I mean Thalia seems to love you," Jake said. "That's a brilliant story. I tried to sneak a niffler in to the house once, it didn't go so well. For either of us..." (Cool! I had them too but they all left me. )

"Never tried to keep anything magical before... well Thalia I guess but she chose to stay." Nyssa's face fell when she said this.

Jake rolled to his side looking at her. "Nyssa, what's wrong?" Jake thought he definitely caught her worry bug.
