Lydia looked back as she sped back to the start. She waved at Theo, gripping her broom tight so as not to fall off. She was hoping for a signal he made it past the tree alright.

Lupin came up to the Whomping Willow, its branches moving around ferociously. After a moment, they stopped, and Lupin snuck inside the passage that was so familiar to him. After he was in, the branches unfroze and continued their wild movement.

Draco was sitting off to the side of the erratically flailing tree as he surveyed the grounds and beyond. Everything had gotten so... dull.

Draco realized he had spent over an hour outside and he was probably risking running into the Headmaster, so he stood and left to scurry off to the common room.
