Griffin thought for a moment. "Well regardless if it's easy or not, I think you should only do what you want to do." For some reason he was compelled to place is free hand into his pocket and pull out the small golden cat again, turning it over in his hands.

Draco looked up from his reading and returned to it, registering the conversation going on. He said aloud to Neko and Griffin, "You don't become a seer, it's an inherited trait." Turning a page, he continued his reading.

Griffin looked over at Malfoy. "Well I didn't mean literally."

"Hm..." Neko thought for a minute before sitting upright and starting to write. After she had finished she read outloud: "My main reason for taking Divination is because I would like to learn to read tea leaves and tell people’s fortunes. I have always been somewhat interested in the art of fortune telling. I am also very interested in dream interpretation and cartomancy. I hope that by taking Divination I can learn all of these things." She nodded approvingly. "Sounds good to me." She then looked up at Draco. "Well, I won't know until I take the class now will I?"

Draco made no movement but turning the page of his book as he replied, "You won't know even if you take the class. You should check your blood lines somehow, like a family tree. If you have a seer in your family, you might possess what seer's call 'the sight.' However, if you do not, it is unlikely you will prosper."

Pansy walked into the common room. "Hello," she greeted everyone, before settling into a chair and pulling out her book, twirling her wand in her fingers absentmindedly.

"Evening Pans," Draco replied to her with a smile, "That was sure a while to send your letter. Didn't run into trouble, did you?"

"Well, I'll take the class for a while and if I don't like it I can always just drop it." Neko said. "I guess I should go send this." She said, heading off to the owlery.

Pansy shook her head. "Of course not, but thank you for asking. I stopped in the library to find a book. That woman is as dreadful as ever."

Draco chuckled under his breath, "I'd be bullocks at Divination. All that 'inner eye' nonsense spouted in seer books was enough to scare me away."

Griffin watched Neko run out to the owlery and sighed. "I don't know. Do you guys think it's worth taking?" he asked Draco and Pansy.

Pansy looked over to Griffin, shrugging. "I'm taking it but only because it runs in my family and my mother suggested it."

Griffin thought for a moment. "Well I might take it I guess," he said after a few moments, "mostly because other Slytherin's will be in it."

Griffin looked at Neko, a little concerned by her sudden appearance. "Everything alright Neko?!" he asked rising out of his seat to help her up.
