Blake was curled in his armchair comfortably on this empty Tuesday afternoon. His work was done, his books were read with the exception of a box in his trunk he had yet to touch, and there was nothing to be written about or upon in his returned journal. There was a permeating silence floating about the common room; students usually rowdy and unusually loud for Slytherins were very somber as they perched themselves over books with quills at their hands moving steadily across filling parchments. He vaguely wondered if it was the work of a professor that had them so quiet, something due immediately tomorrow, but he had no social pressures to spur him to ask so he ignored it in favor of observing.

Freya walked in tiredly and plopped down onto a couch, sprawling out as she yawned. She looked up to see Blake and just gave him a smile, turning over into a more comfortable position. Her hair splayed out about her and she blew away any stray strands that landed on her face.

Lydia wandered into the common room, her bag over her shoulder lazily. She stretched and at down. She'd found a quiet place to curl up and study a bit before coming back. She looked around the common room with a smile.

Theo came walking in with Alice yawning and stretching out his arms over his head. He saw Lydia and went up behind her and kissed the back of her head.

Lydia jumped, taken by surprise, but smiled. "Hullo Theo." She looked back to him.

Alice looked up and nodded, "Yes, he's boring. He refused to kiss the squid."

"You're far from boring love and you know it." She laughed and kissed his cheek quickly before curling up and taking out her knitting, something she hadn't done for a while.
