Griffin laughed lightly. "I notice you do that a lot." He looked around the room then back at the book.

"Yeah, I guess I do." Neko laughed. "I'm not exactly sure why." She turned her attention back to the book, jotting a few notes down as she read.

Griffin laughed. "It's..." his voice trailed of as if he was thinking, he watched Neko write down some notes.

"Um," Griffin looking away, rubbing the back of his neck, "nothing." He gave an awkward laugh and looked at the book quietly.

Neko tilted her head and looked at him as if she wan't convinced, but she decided to brush it off.
"So... what do I want to learn in Transfiguration?" Neko asked herself, pondering the question for a while. She sighed and hung her head. "I don't know. I want to learn how to turn stuff into other stuff I guess."

Griffin looked at her for a second as if he wanted to say something. He looked back at the book. "Isn't that what transfiguration is?"

"Of course. So it would make sense that I would want to learn it." Neko said, shrugging. "I can't really think of anything specific I want to turn into something else. I certainly don't see the worth in being able to turn an animal into a water goblet."

Neko finished writing. "When I think of transfiguration I can’t help but think that is seems fairly useless. Why would I ever need to know how to turn a bird into a water goblet, or a hedgehog into a pincushion? So after taking the time to think about it, I have decided that I would like to learn exactly what I would use transfiguration for." She read aloud from her paper. "I think that sounds good enough. She said a minimum of 60 words."

Neko nodded, obviously pleased with herself. "All I have now is muggle studies. I think I'll just write something along the lines of 'I'm just taking it for the house points.'"
