Cedric walked down his his Defense Against the Dark Arts homework, feeling a lot better than he did days ago. He gave Oliver a friendly wave, sitting down at a comfortable chair and setting his things on the table. He had been seeing a lot of Cho the past few days and not enough of his work. I need to get back in the game! But Cho, she's so wonderful.. I wonder when I can see her again-- No! Cedric! Work! You have work to do! Cedric hunched over his work with a determined face, quill in hand and parchment at the ready. He then realized he hadn't actually read the assignment. He dropped his head onto the table, feeling like an idiot. Cedric put his quill down and began to read.

Arya looked over at Cedric, raising an eye brow at his funny facial expressions. "Are you alright, Cedric?" Arya asked and leaned closer to Cedric, tilting her head and pointing a finger on her chin. "You seem rather off.... is something bothering you?"

Cedric smiled to Arya, "No no, I'm just fine Arya. I just fell behind in my work a little. A;; caught up now, though!" Cedric finished rolling his assignment up, "How are you?"

Cedric and Arya talked most of the day, occasionally leaving to eat. He bid her goodnight and left for the dorms to sleep.

Rose collapsed into one of the comfy couches by the fire. She had been so busy this week, she felt like she had barely had time to do anything with friends.

Cedric returned, still thinking of the nice boy he had met in the library. He went to the dorms, got his work, and came back to finish it.

Ester let herself fall onto down onto a comfy chair in the empty common room. She was finally back to Hogwarts, back home. She had been with her family on vacation, visiting her grandparents back in the old country. "Now I'm back, and behind on homework already!" she sighed. Despite wanting nothing more than to relax with a good book, she opened her schoolbag and dragged out a thick transfiguration book and started reading. But before she could read very far the loud rumble of her stomach distracted her. "This won't do!" she said out loud, "I missed lunch and now I'm starving!" She looked around, realizing she had been talking to herself a bit to much, and then calmed down when she saw that she was alone. She then stood up, leaving her bag, and walked out of the common room, heading for the kitchens.

Mildmay enters the common room, tugging his tie loose and dropping his bag to the ground with a thankful sigh. Another day's lessons were over. He carded his fingers through his hair and looked around the room. "Merlin, some people..." He sat down, legs stretched before him, slumping back into the soft seat with sigh before calling softly to the curled up calico cat by the fire, "Chhhh chhh chhh, Messire. Here love..."

Arya walked into the common room and sat on the couch and let out a sigh. After another day of classes, it felt nice to relax and not worry about school for the rest of the day. She looked over by the fire and saw Mildmay and his cat, "aww, it's a kitty," the fifth year muttered and put her fingers to her lips and smiled at the kitty.

He glanced at the girl who sat close and gave the girl a lopsided smile. "Her name's Messire. She's such a lazybones." The cat lifted her head and cracked an eye open, giving Mildmay a baleful look.
He bit his lip against a laugh and asked, "Have you got a familiar, yet?"

Arya shook her head, "no, but I've seen her around the common room, though," Arya said and got off the couch near Mildmay and Messire, but still kept a distance, "I wish I had a cat, but my sister is allergic..." she trailed off and looked at Mildmay, then back at the cat, "may I pet her?"

The youth nodded and gestured to his cat with a welcoming wave of his hand. "Go ahead. She only scratches if you stoke her belly. Your sister, does she attend Hogwarts?"

Arya shook her head, "she doesn't," she said as she started to pet the cat with the back of her head, "I'm only half blood, and my sister got the muggle blood," she said, "how about you? Do you have any siblings that go here?"

Mildmay grimaced in a show of compasion for her sister - it must be awful to have that sort of luck. "Mmmn. I have two half-sisters. They're too young to come here yet, but they both will. They keep shattering the mirrors and making the frogs in the garden sing." He couldn't help but smile fondly as he thought of his sisters. "I have to write to them this weekend."
He had other family here. He was pureblood, so it was inevitable. "Is it your mother with wizarding blood? I don't recognise the name 'Rith'."

Rose walked into the common room, exhausted . Mondays were so brutal. She spoted Arya and a boy she had seen around once or twice on a nearby couch.
"Hey, mind if I sit with you two?"she asked
