Nyssa walked through the Common Room on her way to the Great Hall. She noticed she had left one of her books in the room and went over to pick it up before leaving.

Amira sat down at a desk ad looked around, there were a couple of fifth and sixth years studying or asleep on their books but no one she knew too well. She needed something to take her mind off of her brother, but what? Writing, reading, and sleeping hadn't helped. She wanted to go out for a walk but the professors were being a lot stricter these days.

David walked into the common room and waved to some of the other 6th years. He saw Amira and went to sit across the table from her. "How are you holding up?" he asked her.

"Any word?" David asked, wondering if Amira had gotten an update on her brother's condition.

"My mom sent me a letter earlier, he woke up for a while. She says his condition is improving and to just focus on my studies", she replied, setting her elbows on the desk and her chin on her palm.

"Seriously? But I hear virtually nothing, strange", she replied. Her owl flew in carrying two letters and a parcel. She wrote back a quick reply to each and sent them back.
